HOW-TO STYLE A CROPPED SWEATER | JUST FAB

I remember in high school when cropped sweaters were popular but we wore them with cami tank tops under them. Now, crop tops have been popular for the past couple of years, and this fall I’ve been seeing cropped sweaters cropping [get it?] up everywhere. I snagged a super cute cropped cardigan from JustFa b and wanted to share how I style it.

I have been a member of JustFab for years and to tell you the truth? It’s sometimes a love/hate. The shoes are SO cute, my favorites are the boots, and I typically have great luck with fit and comfort. I set up reminders on my phone, and *almost* always remember to skip the month, so I end up purchasing only about 4 times each year. I do get frustrated when I have a credit for months I forget to skip and get charged (valued at $39) and can’t use it towards more expensive items or use it for a less expensive item. I have noticed lately that the shoes I like are either $10 more or less than that value. I won’t sugarcoat it, that is annoying. HOWEVER, because of this, I have found several sweaters over the last year that I love.

This cropped sweater has precious pearl buttons. I think this sweater would be cute alone, but I prefer to wear it with a light nude-colored cami tank top that I tuck into high-waisted jeans so you can’t see it.

I have been a member of JustFab for years and to tell you the truth? It’s sometimes a love/hate. The shoes are SO cute, my favorites are the boots, and I typically have great luck with fit and comfort. I set up reminders on my phone, and *almost* always remember to skip the month, so I end up purchasing only about 4 times each year. I do get frustrated when I have a credit from months I forget to skip and get charged (valued at $39) and can’t use it towards more expensive items or use it for a less expensive item. Why I Love It

The Chunky Braided Turtle Neck is comfortable, and a classic look. I love a good chunky cream or white sweater because even with a simple ponytail and no makeup on, it looks polished and chic. This sweater isn’t cropped, but it hits just at the top of my high rise jeans so it isn’t a lot of bulky fabric if I want to tuck in the front.

Pom-Pom Sweater Trend

I have been seeing the pom-pom sweater tread on Instagram for the past year and I finally jumped on the bandwagon after I had a Just Fab credit that I wanted to use.

I am a big fan of shoes (boots especially) from Just Fab but this is the first time ordering any clothing and I was pretty nervous. I purchase affordable, but if the quality isn’t there or it looks and feels cheap, I won’t wear it. I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality! I will now be sure to check out the clothing when I have a Just Fab credit (I usually am good about skipping the months, but I forget about twice a year). The sweater I got is sold out but I found a lot of similar ones that I will link.

I hope that your week is off to a phenomenal start! I am feeling energized this morning, and it feels so good to start the week off right (coffee in hand, of course). Energy level aside, it is chilly here this morning in Michigan, and now boot season is in full swing. I have been wanting a pair of Chelsea boots for a while now, and JustFab has the *perfect* pair right now that I knew I had to share with you.

What is a Chelsea Boot?

A Chelsea boot is an elastic-sided ankle heigh boot.

Just Fab Classic Girl Chelsea Boot Details

These boots are a faux leather with a 1.5 heel height. The Just Fab Classic Girl Chelsea Boot is also available in a black faux suede and a light taupe faux suede.

Why I LOVE Them

I love the black onyx faux leather because it has a little texture that I find makes faux leather look more expensive and more like real leather. I love that I can just slip these boots on, which is a lifesaver as I am running out the door in the mornings (Also for slipping my boots on and off 10 times because my Little Loves or I forgot something, let’s be real!). These boots are super comfortable and they go well with almost anything! I love these so much that I want to get them in the taupe color!! I love so many of the boots on JustFab right now and they always wear very well for me.

JUST FAB REVIEW | IS IT WORTH IT? ARE THE SHOES COMFORTABLE?

I love shoes, and I like to have high quality, investment pairs of winter boots, athletic shoes, a classic heel, and of course my favorite UGG Slippers (priorities, people!). However, I love trying out shoes for different events, or explore a new trend, without clutching my pearls. My favorite places to get inexpensive boots is Target or JustFab, and my favorite place to get inexpensive heels is JustFab, so today I want to share my thoughts on the company JustFab.

What Is JustFab?

JustFab is a website that is a part of the ShoeDazzle, Fabletics, and FabKids family, where you join and take a style quiz, have access to exclusive discounts, and receive free shipping and exchanges.

How Does It Work?

Once becoming a VIP member you can opt each month to “skip” the month or pick out a pair of shoes! If you do not “skip” the month by the 5th of every month, you will be charged $39 which can be used as a credit for a new pair of shoes.

My Experience

I joined because I kept seeing ads and thinking the shoes were so adorable for the price! I have been a member for years now, and I overall really enjoy JustFab. In order to not get charged I spend about 10 minutes every six months to put into the calendar on my phone “Skip JustFab” on the first of the month. I have had a few “whoops” months where I don’t skip, but I have just saved the credit for occasions such as birthdays where I want a new pair of shoes.

Why I love It?

I have had so many cute pairs of shoes, and people often compliment my shoes or ask where they are from. I love that I can get cute shoes (see some of my past posts showcasing them here , here, and here) for an affordable price. I have had at least 10 pairs of shoes from JustFab over the past several years, and while some aren’t incredibly comfortable, I have also purchased boots that I wear on a nearly daily basis during the fall and winter months with zero pain. I also find the review on the JustFab site to be very helpful. My latest pair of shoes from just fab, a faux suede black bootie with gorgeous detail embroidery, is shown above.

What I DON’T Love

I haven’t canceled, but I have heard it can be a bit of a hassle, because obviously they don’t want you to cancel. If you have had that experience, definitely let myself and anyone else reading know about it in the comments.

HOW-TO PREVENT BLISTERS IN HEELS

Hi there! Happy Monday!

I love wearing a gorgeous pair of heels, but I have definitely been that girl hobbling by the end of the night because my feet her so much because of blisters. I also never found the band-aid “fix” to do much of anything to help, so I have tested out a lot of products and wanted to share my go-to with you.

Band-Aid Friction Block Stick

This provides lubrication which when applied to blister “hot spots” can reduce the friction, a.k.a stop the blisters from forming. If you don’t have the Band-Aid Friction Block Stick you can also use anti-chaffing products like BodyGlide or even a stick antiperspirant. This stuff lasts forever, I’ve had one stick for well over a year and it has a lot left to use. I love the Band-Aid Friction Block Stick because it is so tiny (it fits in the palm of my hand!) and I can always have it in my bag for heel-mergencies.

My Routine

I always do my best to buy shoes that fit, seriously don’t try to squeeze into shoes that don’t fit because you’ll regret it an hour into wearing them. I also try to break in my heels for a bit at home before wearing them out. I apply the Band-Aid Friction Block Stick to dry feet a few minutes before slipping on my heels (or any shoes I feel that are prone to rubbing).

HOW I SURPRISED MY HUSBAND FOR HIS 30TH BIRTHDAY!

Hi there! Happy Monday!

I hope that all of you had a wonderful weekend! I had one of those days yesterday where I didn’t realize it was Sunday until about 8p.m which is always a letdown ; ) But it was an incredible weekend! I haven’t done a lifestyle photo post in awhile, but I think that this event deserves one! My husband, Stephan, turns 30 on the 12th and he thought that him and I were celebrating on Saturday with a nice dinner out while my parents watched our little loves…all of this was true, but he didn’t know that 16 of our nearest and dearest were waiting at the restaurant to surprise him! He was SO shocked! His reaction was caught on film (thank you Nicole and Kayla!) and it is priceless! It would not have been possible without the input from our friends who thought of things I wouldn’t have, and helped me keep the surprise for months and months! And thank you to my mom, who helped me with all of the details and had it all set up perfectly. Stephan told me that it was the nicest thing that has ever happened to him. Thank you to everyone who took time out of your busy lives to be there for us and to celebrate this milestone birthday with my guy! I originally had guessed we would have about half of the people I invited show up, but actually nearly everyone did and it was awesome! We are very lucky people to know such incredible humans! I hope that you had a wonderful weekend! And thank you, as always, for taking the time to read my blog.

In the past 5 years I have been pregnant or breastfeeding, and so my fall wardrobe needed some major re-vamping!
