Why I’ve Trusted Name Bubbles for Over a Decade | 25% Coupon Code for Custom Name Labels

June 2, 2025 & Leave a Comment

Hi there! Happy Monday!

Name Bubbles Review

If you’ve ever had a kid misplace a lunchbox, water bottle, or pair of cleats, you know the value of a good label. I’ve been using Name Bubbles for over a decade, and they’ve been a true parenting essential in our home. I even found an old blog post from September 2014 where I first mentioned them as one of my favorite mom hacks—and I stand by that endorsement today.

Name Bubbles offers customizable name labels in a variety of options, including stick-on (my go-to), iron-on, and write-on. They come in multiple shapes, sizes, and colors, making it easy to find a fit for everything your kids own.

Personally, I’ve always stuck with their Custom Contact Clothing Labels (typically about $25 for 80 labels) – Use Coupon Code LASTCHANCE through 6/11 to save 25%. I keep it simple—just my child’s name and my phone number. I usually reorder once a year (sometimes I can stretch it to every other year), and they’ve never let me down.

Here’s where I use them:

  • Shoes (soccer cleats, dance shoes, everyday sneakers)
  • Outerwear (coats, hats, gloves)
  • School supplies and water bottles
  • And absolutely everything that goes to our daughter’s sleepaway camp

For more expensive or sentimental items, these labels give me peace of mind that if something gets lost, there’s a real chance it’ll find its way back home.

If you’re looking for a reliable, customizable way to keep track of your child’s things, Name Bubbles is worth every penny.

Aērcase Cleat Bag | Sports Shoe Odor Fix

October 14, 2024 & Leave a Comment

Hi there! Happy Monday!

Our youngest is a soccer player, and even though he’s my precious baby and doesn’t smell (yet), his cleats sure do! I was so excited to find this Aērcase Cleat Bag.

Why the Aērcase Stands Out: Patented Smell-Proof Technology

What really sets the Aērcase apart is its patented smell-proof technology. If you’ve ever dealt with the stench of sweaty cleats or gym gear, you know how difficult it is to eliminate. With this bag, you don’t just mask the odor, you actually block it—permanently. Here’s how:

  • Kills bacteria and blocks odor at the source
  • Designed to fit both cleats and shin guards
  • Constructed with high-grade materials to ensure long-lasting durability
  • Includes a water-resistant interior pocket for personal belongings
  • Features a magnetic closure so you can avoid dealing with annoying stuck zippers
  • Best of all, it’s machine washable and dryer-safe for hassle-free maintenance

What Makes It So Effective? The Science Behind Aērcase

This isn’t your typical gym bag; the technology inside the Aērcase is next-level. Let’s take a peek at what’s working behind the scenes:

99.99% Pure Silver: A Game-Changer for Hygiene

The Aērcase is built with 99.99% pure silver, which actively kills bacteria, viruses, and fungi. The silver-coated mesh inside the bag is activated by moisture—like the sweat from your cleats—and releases silver ions that neutralize odor-causing bacteria at the root. This ensures your gear stays fresh, no matter how hard you play.

Military-Grade Activated Carbon: Odor Absorbing Superpower

The military-grade activated carbon used in the Aērcase absorbs both odors and moisture. Originally developed by the UK Ministry of Defense for chemical warfare, this technology is no joke. To give you an idea of how effective it is: the surface area of the carbon inside the bag is larger than two soccer fields—about 4,000 to 8,000 square meters! That’s some serious odor-fighting power.

Built to Last: Durability Meets Convenience

The Aērcase is constructed to withstand whatever you throw at it. Its durable materials ensure longevity, and the clever magnetic closure avoids the common issue of stuck zippers. Plus, the water-resistant pocket makes it easy to store your phone, keys, or other personal items safely, even when you’re headed out into unpredictable weather.

The Ultimate Gear Solution for Athletes

If you’re an athlete or have one in your home, this is the bag you didn’t know you needed. It’s a lifesaver for keeping your cleats fresh, organized, and ready to go. No more stuffing them into old gym bags that only make the odor worse. With the Aērcase, you’re investing in a clean, high-tech solution that keeps your gear in top shape.

Check it out for yourself and experience the difference! Grab your Aērcase Cleat Bag here.

Trust me—your nose will thank you.

How It’s Built

If anyone in your home is an avid gym goer or athlete, you need this bag!

What’s Next? A Life Size Game and What’s Next a Life Size Transition Game

August 12, 2024 & Leave a Comment

Hi there! Happy Monday! Happy Birthday to my husband, too!

I was offered the chance to review the game What’s Next? A Life Size Game and What’s Next a Life Size Transition Game and while it is different than my usual content, I was excited to share it because I am a parent and I thought you might enjoy this post, too.

M & J Games a Life-Size Game and M & J Games a Life-Size Transition Game

This game has soft foam pieces, a giant die which our whole household got a kick out of, and a simple way to set it up that we used both indoors and outdoors. We also tried the version with transition pieces you can add, which is meant for people on the spectrum.

I enjoyed this game so much that I plan to gift one to the resource room teacher who works with one of our children. I love that it doesn’t take too long to play, and is simple for the whole family to catch on and modify to their needs.

This is a fun family game and definitely different and a way to get outside!

Have a great weekend : )

Camp Collage | Camp Trunk Decor

July 10, 2023 & Leave a Comment

Hi there! Happy Monday!

Our daughter, Hailey, attended her first sleepaway camp a few weeks ago and we wanted to do everything we could to make it memorable. In a newsletter from the camp, there was information about Camp Collage and as soon as I saw it I knew I wanted us to get one for Hailey.

Camp Collage

Camp Collage was founded by the Willoughby family after Darla, the mother, had made her three children collages for years. It is a family business founded in 2021 and I can tell already, they’re just getting started.

Camp Collage is an App that allows you to upload pictures straight from your phone into a collage that is then printed and ready for you to attach to the inside of your camper’s trunk, on the wall, or to the bunk. You can have the photos auto-populate or arrange them yourself, or do what I did which is autofill and then edit as wanted/needed. You can pick 15,25, or 35 images. I love that this is an affordable way to have a perfectly sized and nicely printed collage without having to deal with the hassle of making it yourself. Hailey LOVED having pictures of friends and family up while away at her first camp. She told us that her friends and counselor asked her about her college, and it helped with homesickness. As soon as we got home, she hung it in her room, and I love that it has the year because she can hang get one each year as a special tradition.

If you have a camper in your life, I think this is a fantastic gift idea!

Have you been to summer camp? I’d love to hear about it!

We moved…saying goodbye to our house

June 13, 2022 & Leave a Comment

Hi there! Happy Monday!

Yesterday we said goodbye to our first house. The house where we brought all of our kids home. The house where our kids grew up. The house where we grew up. We bought it straight out of college, and now 11 1/2 years later, we say goodbye. Our starter home, that we’ve finally outgrown. Home doesn’t stay with the house, it goes with the people in it. But goodness we’ll miss it.

How many times have you moved?

NADINE WEST CLOTHING BOX REVIEW | OUTFIT SUBSCRIPTION BOX

October 12, 2020 & Leave a Comment

Hi there! Happy Monday!

Have you ever wondered how a clothing subscription box works? Nadine West offers an affordable style subscription service.

Before we dig in, a little housekeeping, a BABY-STEP SOCIAL MEDIA KIT.

I have shared my outfits from Nadine West for two years now on my blog (read the posts here). Nadine West sent me this box for my consideration for review but I was not paid to write this post and as always all opinions are my own.

What is Nadine West?

NadineWest.com is a company that sends you an outfit to try on and you keep only what you love. The outfit is a surprise, but you take a style quiz and the stylists get to know your style more each month. The outfits are affordable with pieces costing about $10-$30 each, which is very affordable compared to other similar services.

How Does Nadine West Work?

On the Nadine West website, you take the style quiz so that the stylist can get to know what you are looking for in an outfit. You will receive a pink package in the mail with your personalized outfit. Try on the outfit and keep what you love and send back what you don’t.

My Thoughts On Nadine West

The style quiz was super easy to do, which was great because I wanted something that didn’t take too much time but I was still able to make notes to make sure the stylist knew my preferences. I really loved the surprise aspect of this, and it was like opening up a girly gift from a really stylish friend. I cannot stand having to return things, it is such a bummer, but I LOVE the way this company does it because your outfit comes with return shipping.

Nadine West Coupon Code

Use the referral code “Nadine” on NadineWest.com (not an affiliate code for me, just sharing the one they currently have on their website) to waive your shipping fee which means you’ll get your outfit in the mail without paying anything!

Nadine West Unboxing

This box wasn’t a great one for me, however, the pair of pants that I got I LOVE! I know it would take me a lot of hunting to find a pair of black pants that have the tortoise buttons, great ankle length, and perfect peach [booty!] fit.

Nadine West Final Thoughts

I love getting my Nadine West box each month! Most months I get a few things that I love, but I do wish that there was a simple form to update style preferences or check-in each month to see what I’d like to find in my box. I hope that I will continue to get neutral pieces that fit my style and delicate jewelry that works with my sense of style. I would love to see some simple, neutral-colored maxi dresses for spring, too. I would rather receive two or three nicer items than a lot of pieces that aren’t as nice of quality.

Have you tried any fashion boxes like this? Have you tried Nadine West? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments!

Have a wonderful rest of your week! Thank you for reading! xx

LOOK EXPENSIVE ON A BUDGET |WALMART TIME AND TRU CLOTHING HAUL

February 20, 2019 & Leave a Comment

Hi there! Happy Wednesday!

I hope that you are having a fantastic day! Last fall I shared a post called The Best Affordable Open Front Cardigan Less Than $20 and it was so well received that I knew I wanted to continue to share when I find ways to look expensive on a budget.

Walmart released a line about a year ago called Time and Tru and it has really elevated their clothing game in the women’s department. They also have new lines in the children’s department called Wonder Nation that looks much higher-end.

My Finds

I was attending a networking event for my social media management career (curious? my website is here) and wanted to wear a pair of leather leggings but didn’t have a top that I liked to pair with it that would cover my bum. My sweet hubster was running to Walmart and so I asked if he would look to see if they had a long cardigan similar to the one I shared here. My husband got major props for texting pictures and FaceTiming me while at Walmart and he found a gorgeous black open-front drape front blazer that is just long enough for me to wear with leggings. I am SO excited by this piece because it looks amazing dressed up or casually with jeans and a graphic tee. It’s a beautiful unstructured blazer that could have been in a department store for double or even triple the price. It was originally $24, marked down to $19. Fast-forward to a week later and I had to run into Walmart and I just happened to walk past the women’s section and found the same blazer in both black and in navy on clearance for $5! $5! It still appears to be full price online, but check in store! I would definitely pay $25 though, it is an amazing piece! I think it will be a staple in my capsule wardrobe that can mix and match with anything.

I also snagged a long belted sweater vest in black for $5. I love it worn open or tied and loved wearing it with major Diane Keaton vibes. They had some adorable camouflage zip-front hoodies, cowl neck hoodies, and velvet leggings for $5.

Time and Tru Drape Front Blazer

Time and Tru Belted Sweater Vest

I keep forgetting to check Walmart clothing on a regular basis, but the gems that I have found have become staples in my wardrobe and pieces that people are SHOCKED came from Walmart. Have you checked out the Time and Tru line from Walmart?

One of my favorite ways to spend quality time with my kids is cooking or baking together in the kitchen. I have three little loves who all love to help with stirring, measuring, and of course, taste testing, in the kitchen. Entenmann’s® Little Bites® provided me with coupons to redeem product and a gift card so that I could share your thoughts and information about Entenmann’s® Little Bites® products, but as always all thoughts are my own. I would never accept money in exchange for a positive review.

Smurfs Inspired Entenmann’s® Little Bites® Recipe:

What You’ll Need:

Entenmann’s® Little Bites® Blueberry Muffins

Vanilla or Blueberry Yogurt (*Tip: We used vanilla but used a bit of food coloring to make it blue just like our favorite Smurfs!)

Granola

Clear Glass Cup or Mason Jar

Directions:

Start by putting a layer of Entenmann’s® Little Bites® Blueberry Muffins in the bottom of your cup or jar. Using a spoon, scoop some of your yogurt over the muffins and then sprinkle your yogurt with a bit of granola. Continue layering until you reach the top of your jar. 30 YEAR OLD CAKE SMASH SESSION! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEAHTACKLES

March 13, 2017 & 6 Comments

Hi there! Happy Monday!

Whelp, I am *officially* a member of “The 30s Club” and I am actually quite proud of my induction into this exclusive group! I am still on cloud nine after my amazing surprise celebration over the weekend thrown for me by my amazing husband with the help of my amazing friends. I wanted to commemorate this milestone birthday with something special, so I decided that just like parents hire photographers to capture their toddlers smashing their cake, that I would have my photographer (my hubs) capture my very own cake smash. Oh, I also added champagne because, #Thirty. I hope you enjoy these pictures and please feel free to “Pin” onto your Pinterest (just hover over any picture to click the “Pin” button or use the sharing buttons at the bottom of the post) to share the idea!

PLAN AHEAD SO EVERYONE GETS THEIR BEAUTY SLEEP…EVEN WITH SICK KIDS! | SICK JUST GOT REAL.™ + VISA GIFT CARD AND PRODUCT GIVEAWAY

February 27, 2017 & 14 Comments

Hi there! Happy Monday!

I hope that you had a great weekend! Last year I had the opportunity to work with Pfizer Consumer Healthcare and I spoke about how as a beauty blogger I share on my blog (that’s right here!), my beauty and lifestyle YouTube channel, and on my social media a lot of “picture perfect” versions of reality. Are these pictures fake? No, not exactly, I do share things that I love and pictures of my family, but of course these are just the edited, carefully selected pictures not including the background clutter, poor lighting, and general chaos that is also going on! Today I would like to lift the veil a bit again and remind you that it’s really smoke and mirrors. This post has been sponsored by Pfizer Consumer Healthcare and as always all thoughts and opinions are my own. I would never accept money in exchange for a positive review.

Plan Ahead Tips

I try to always arm myself with the basics *before* a cold makes it’s way to our house because with three young kids, two who are in school, and one who is always along for the ride for drop offs, shopping trips, and extracurricular activities, sickness is inevitable.

  1. Have healthy snacks that you can grab and your kids can grab to try to “pack” them with as many vitamins as possible to fight off the “Ew”. *Tip: If you’re having a rough day, gummy fruit snack packs have a lot of vitamin C so ignore the mom guilt and toss them a fun snack ; )
  2. Teach good hand washing habits and make a hand washing chart to hang in your bathroom! We laminated our chart so that we can use dry-erase markers to mark down good hand washing habits each week.
  3. Try to pack lunches, brief cases, backpacks, and snacks the night before! Also pick out clothes ahead of time for both yourself and your child! I find if I pick out a nice outfit the night before I am more likely to rock it the next day instead of grabbing for something comfy and less put together when I’m sleepy that morning!
  4. Don’t be the mom running to the store at 11 O’Clock at night frantically reading boxes of medicine trying to find what you need, have your medicine cabinet stocked ahead of time. Seriously, this took me awhile to actually do but it makes such a difference and you’ll thank me later when you’ve gotten a decent night of sleep even with a sick kiddo ; )

#SickJustGotReal

My daughter is five (and a half!) and recently she came home from school and pretty much started throwing a tantrum that could put her toddler brother to shame, so I figured she just needed a little connecting with mom after being at school all day, but when I came back to the couch and found her nearly asleep before 4P.M I knew something was up! Sure enough, she turned down some of her favorite dinner choices, flushed, and got a fever. My dad, a retired M.D, has always suggested Children’s Advil® to me over other brands, and he has turned me into a bit of a brand snob about it because it works great for all three of my children. Below in this post I include information about three of my go-to Pfizer Consumer Healthcare products.

Recognizing the “Ew”

Did you know that playground equipment in the shade carriers more bacteria because the suns ultraviolet rays kill bacteria? How about that only half of students wash their hands after using the bathroom-and of those who do many don’t use soap? Desks in classrooms often have more germs than a toilet seat and if eating at the desk occurs that number of germs multiples. Kids often touch 20 objects per minute and touch their face as many as 50 times per hour. Do you or your child use an iPad? The screen on an iPad has up to 192 million bacteria.

“I Need To Use a Sick Day, Boss”

Parents miss 126 MILLION workdays annually caring for a sick child which amounts to 40 BILLION dollars lost.

Find out more on the Sick just got real.™ website!
