My Thoughts

I love this mask! Like with most masks, I notice that my skin looks very even and bright after, but this mask is more than that. I love the way this mask smells and it’s so relaxing after a long day. NadineWest.com is a company that sends you an outfit to try on and you keep only what you love. The outfit is a surprise, but you take a style quiz and the stylists get to know your style more each month. The outfits are affordable with pieces costing about $10-$30 each, which is very affordable compared to other similar services.

How Does Nadine West Work? 

On the Nadine West website, you take the style quiz so that the stylist can get to know what you are looking for in an outfit. You will receive a pink package in the mail with your personalized outfit. Try on the outfit and keep what you love and send back what you don’t.

My Thoughts On Nadine West 

The style quiz was super easy to do, which was great because I wanted something that didn’t take too much time but I was still able to make notes to make sure the stylist knew my preferences. I really loved the surprise aspect of this, and it was like opening up a girly gift from a really stylish friend. I cannot stand having to return things, it is such a bummer, but I LOVE the way this company does it because your outfit comes with return shipping.

Nadine West Unboxing

This month was a bit of a toss-up for me. I received two pairs of pants that I don’t like, and the jewelry wasn’t my style this month. However, I LOVE the tops that I got! The stretchy olive shirt is a great basic piece in a color that I love. It is also longer, which is nice because it will work well with leggings on casual days. I wasn’t sure that I would like the black and gray striped shirt with the brown suede elbow pads, but I love it! It’s a great neutral and the elbow pads make it fun. The red sweater is a little shorter than the average sweater, hitting just above the hip, and I like it a lot for wearing with high-rise jeans. A red sweater like this is a go-to for me when I am attending holiday concerts, events, parties, or just a fun evening out during the festive season.

I love getting my Nadine West box each month! Most months I get a few things that I love, but I do wish that there was a simple form to update style preferences or check-in each month to see what I’d like to find in my box. I hope that I will continue to get neutral pieces that fit my style and delicate jewelry that works with my sense of style. I would love to see some simple, neutral-colored maxi dresses for spring, too. I would rather receive two or three nicer items than a lot of pieces that aren’t as nice of quality.

Turban Knot Headband | How-To Wear It

A trend that I’ve seen on the pages of Harper’s Bazaar, on the runways, and (the most relatable and attainable of them all) on the tables of my local Target.

How-To Wear Turban Headbands

The turban-style headband or turband (get it?) reminds me of the 1960’s images of Elizabeth Taylor in the 1960s. I opted to pick a neutral camel colored velvet headband to ease myself into the style, but I had so much fun and felt so chic in this, I’d like to add a few more of the gorgeous jewel tone styles to my fall and winter wardrobe. I would suggest starting with a smaller knot, like the one in my photo, and a neutral color. I received a lot of compliments, and it is a great “third piece” to add to any outfit.

Why I Love Turban Headbands

Because I prefer to dress in a “capsule” wardrobe (if you’d like me to do a post on my capsule wardrobe let me know in the comments) I appreciate on-trend pieces like a headband that I can add to the staples I reach for daily. I love that this style is accessible to everyone without a big investment, with headbands starting at less than $10 each.

LUMIFY Redness Relief Eye Drops Review | Are they better than other redness drops?

I never suffered from red eyes terribly, but a few years ago I started using redness relief eye drops before special events or pictures to make the whites of my eyes POP. So, when I saw LUMIFY ads interrupting episode after episode of my Netflix-Binge nights, I decided to give it a try when I saw it on sale at my local drugstore.

My Thoughts

I love how well this works! The difference, even on days when I don’t think my eyes look “that bad” is astounding. My mom tried is, and she is now hooked as well. I do not wear glasses or contacts and my mother wears glasses. I find that this works better than regular redness-reducing drops and definitely lasts way longer. I do not use these every day, but I use them whenever I have an event, meeting, know that I’ll have my picture taken, or when I look extra tired. I will definitely continue to purchase and use LUMIFY Redness Relief Eye Drops. I think that these are worth the few extra dollars over other redness relief drops because of the longer-lasting results and the whites of the eye are brighter with these than traditional redness relief drops like Visine.

The crisp fall breeze is in the air, a reminder of the approaching holiday season. I have been reaching for my Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow and think that it is the perfect gift for and makeup item to have in your beauty arsenal for festive holiday looks.

Stila Glitter & Glow Eye Shadow

This long-wearing sparkle eye shadow combines the mix of pearl and glitter to give your eyes incredible shimmer.  With its lightweight, water-infused texture, Glitter & Glow glides on effortlessly, then dries down smoothly, locking in sparkle with minimal fallout.

Why I Love It

I like to use the Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow to top off my eye looks, and adding just a bit to the center of the lid can create a gorgeous finishing touch to the look. I also love that I can use a few dabs of the liquid glitter on top of a shadow primer or base and I get a gorgeous look that is impressive looking but really only took a minute. My Routine

I use the doe foot applicator to dab it on the center of my lid when I am using the glitter as a finishing touch to an eye shadow look. When I am using the Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow for a quick eye look, I use an eye shadow primer or an eye shadow base like this one and then put the liquid glitter shadow on top and blend it with a synthetic eye shadow brush.

Nadine West Unboxing

This was a month where I did receive quite a few pieces that I didn’t like, but thankfully Nadine West has a good return process and policy. I am picky about jewelry, I really only like delicate pieces and stud earrings. I also like solid, neutral colors. I only got three pieces that I chose to keep, but they’re GREAT pieces. I am in love with the navy blouse that I got, it has three fabric colored buttons in the front and a white tie at the neck. I love this because for work events or meetings I like to dress “Snappy Casual” as we said in my sorority days, or smart casual as it’s more commonly known to the masses. I also received a pair of wide leg culotte pants that have a ruched high waist that is really flattering, and of course I would be amiss if I didn’t rave about the fact that THEY HAVE POCKETS! They hit me right at the widest part of my calf, and because of this I think they look best with a heel. I like these because they’re another great neutral I can dress up or down. The third item is an extremely fitted gray shirt, and it’s the type of shirt that is almost too tight, but for some reason this one is stretchy enough that it’s comfortable and I think it’ll be wonderful this fall and winter under cardigans and sweaters when I really want to layer up.

My Thoughts

I find this to be very refreshing and like this using it especially when I feel that I’m dealing with breakouts because it doesn’t feel heavy. I bought a small sample size of this because it is a bit pricy for a drugstore brand skincare line, but now I know that it will be well worth my investment. I also still love the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Masks.
