What I Got For Christmas 2021

January 3, 2022 & Leave a Comment

Hi there! Happy Monday!

Christmas may be over, but I am still geeking out over what I got for Christmas. Today I will share what I got for Christmas 2021. Be sure to let me know in the comments what you got and, just for fun, whether or not your tree is still up.

What I Got For Christmas 2021

Brumate Coffee Mug

One of my best friends did a “Favorite Things” theme with her gifts for me, and to say that I felt instantly spoiled is an understatement. Thank you, James, if you’re reading this. She got me the marble, and I’m obsessed. It doesn’t leak and I accidentally tested how well it insulates when I left a cup of coffee sitting on the counter and ran errands for several hours. It was still hot when I got back I kid you not.

Stainless Steel Vertical Corkscrew Wine Opener

This was another gift that I wasn’t expecting but when our dear friends gave this to us we were thrilled. We had been using a cheap waiters style corkscrew that worked but definitely wasn’t what you’d want to use with nicer bottles of wine (read I didn’t trust it to work). This is beautiful and works perfectly…don’t worry, I tested it a few times over the week between Christmas and NYE.

Steve Madden Bettyy Black Patent Boot

These boots are so fun! They remind me of a classic Doc Martens. I love the vegan patent leather, and can’t wait to wear them.

Nike Air Force One ’07

I am a runner so whenever I’m spending $100 + on shoes they’re usually for running, but I found myself needing a timeless pair of shoes for certain outfits, and what’s more classic than Nike white on whites? Get me two pair ; )

The Unofficial Disney Parks Cookbook

It’s no secret that I’m a HUGE Disney fan, and I’ve used recipes several times for my YouTube channel and for my family that I find on Pinterest, but I was thrilled to receive a cookbook that has wonderful storytelling and recipes at my fingertips no printing or propping up my phone required.

The Cheese Board Deck

I love charcuterie, I make it at least once a week, and it is 99.9% of what I ate between Christmas and NYE. I love to make big boards for special occasions and gatherings, but I’ve never used books for inspiration. I love this deck because it serves as a useful tool with inspiration, recipes, accoutrement ideas, and helpful hints, but also works as a coffee table book and decor. This is a fantastic gift because most people don’t buy themselves these things, but they’re wonderful to have. This works as a standalone gift or would be gorgeous with a gift basket or bottle of wine. HIGHLY recommend.

Amber Light Book Light

My husband got an amber book light for Christmas last year and I’ve borrowed it so many times. It is so much nicer than a bright lamp or white light, and it allows me to read a few pages as I get sleepy at night.

Shop

This is not everything I received, I also got an awesome drawing from our youngest which I promptly framed, a few fun odds and ends, a Michigan State crewneck, and of course, chocolate.

What I Got For Christmas | 2020

December 28, 2020 & Leave a Comment

Hi there! Happy Monday!

I love watching and reading “What I Got For Christmas” vlogs and blogs, and I hope that you enjoy this post. If this post will trigger you, please click out now. This is, of course, not to brag. I’ve had Christmases with chocolate and socks, and lavish Christmases. I see you, I respect you, and I ask that you respect that I share this to give ideas for things you may gift or wish for in the future. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year!

What I Got For Christmas 2020

It’s no secret that I am an avid runner, and I got several running related items.

Asics Gel Kayano Lite

I overpronate and I am so pumped to try the brand-new Asics Gel Kayano Lite. I love the Asics GT 2000, and this is a lighter weight option that still overs stability support for overpronators.

AfterShokz Running Headphones

These headphones deliver music through your cheekbones, ensuring your ears remain completely open to ambient sounds for safer situational awareness.

Quarter Zip Pullover Running Shirt

I gravitate to black colors for my running gear, but want brighter colors for safety and so that during races (come on 2021! Safe races, please!) family and friends can spot me.

Oiselle Flyout Long Sleeve Apple Watch Window Running Shirt

I am so excited because this shirt has a window for my watch. The company, Oiselle, is highly regarded in the running community.

Apple Air Pod Pros

I am on video and audio calls for work every day, and I also watch a lot of YouTube on my phone. I have never had nice earbuds, and I am so excited. These Apple Air Pod Pros from my husband were a huge surprise! WANT SOME? Definitely snag ’em on Prime Day!

I didn’t get any makeup or skincare items, but I did get a few beauty related items that I am excited to share.

Gel Nail Kit [most highly reviewed on Amazon!]

I don’t prioritize on allocating part of our budget for my nails, but in my line of work and being someone who talks with my hands, I want to be better about keeping my nails nice. I hope this Amazon Gel Nail Kit helps!

A New Day Beaded Hair Clips

These are so pretty and perfect for clipping my little baby hairs up when I wear my hair in a ponytail or messy bun.

We also got a couple of gifts as a couple.

Instant Pot Duo Crisp Pressure Cooker

I can’t wait to use this! Do you have one? If so, please share favorite recipes with me on social!

Wireless Video Doorbell

We do a lot of shipping with our business The Mitten Print Shop and this is an item that we feel that we need to keep our business and family safe. This video doorbell is well-rated and affordable.

What I Got For Christmas 2014!!

December 31, 2014 & Leave a Comment

Hi there! Happy Wednesday! And Happy New Year’s Eve!

Today I want to share some of the wonderful gifts that I was lucky enough to get from loved ones for Christmas. As a disclaimer: I am in no way bragging! I feel *extremely* blessed to have been given these things, and hope that you enjoy seeing posts like this! I love to read and watch “What I got For Christmas” posts and videos, and I hope you do too! If not, that’s okay too : )

#1 The Selfie by Gabba Goods:

I think this is such a fun little gadget and can’t wait to try it out! I am not sure it will help much with selfies, it isn’t like those little sticks that you can put your phone on, but I think it would be great for group selfies for sure!! I love this…hopefully this will improve my Instagram ; )

#2 Sticks Stones Necklace by Love Nail Tree:

This necklace is so unique and stunning! I love that it’s simple but a longer style. I can’t wait to style this!!!

#3 Nirvana White Rollerball by Elizabeth and James:

I have been wanting this for a long time now!! I love the Nirvana Black as well, and think I will add it to my collection soon. I also was a huuuuge Mary-Kate and Ashley fan when I was little, so it’s fun that this is from their high-end brand. On another note, have you SEEN the Elizabeth and James jewelry line?! *SWOOOON!*

#4 Cranberry and Gray Scarf, Headband, and Gloves by Coach:

This was such a great gift because  I wouldn’t gravitate towards this cranberry color, but I am really enjoying it! I love it with the gray, one of my favorite colors to wear, and love that each of these pieces are just as gorgeous worn on their own. The gloves aren’t tech gloves, but they do fold back for easy touch screen use.

#5 Full Frontal Lipstick Stash Set by Urban Decay:

I have one Urban Decay Revolution lipstick that I adore, so I was super excited to get this set. These mini lipsticks are adorable and I don’t mind that they’re small because it isn’t often that I actually use up a lipstick! Gorgeous, pigmented, creamy lipsticks in STUNNING shades!!

#6 Life Planner and Accessories by Erin Condren:

erincondrenlifeplanners-leahtackles.jpeg

I wish I could explain this planner to you but I think this will deserve an entire blog post or maybe even a video! This planner is EVERYTHING you could want in a planner! Also, Erin Condren the creator of the Life Planner is a Delta Gamma like me : ) Seriously, I know it may be a bit late to order a planner, but this would be worth ordering and getting a bit late. There are tons of options, they have custom options, and tons of fun accessories. I can’t wait to start using this!!!

As always thank you for reading!! If you have already subscribed, thank you! If you haven’t, please do and make my day! You can find me on social media by using the buttons at the bottom of this post or at the top of this page!!
