Reuseable Bamboo Cotton Rounds | Amazon Find

December 27, 2021 & Leave a Comment

Hi there! Happy Monday!

I hope that you had a wonderful holiday and you are still relaxing and enjoying time with those you love.

I was gifted something that I never would have bought, and something that wasn’t the most exciting thing at first glance, that over the past 10 days has become a staple that I use morning and night.

Reuseable Bamboo Cotton Rounds | Amazon Find

Do you use cotton rounds to remove eye makeup or face makeup? Toner or astringent? I have tried washable makeup remover cloths and did not like them.

If so, you need these. I was apprehensive, and while I am all about making simple swaps to be more eco-friendly, I wasn’t that interested in letting go of my cotton rounds for eye makeup remover and toner, but after one use I was hooked. These are incredibly soft, and after you use one (they’re huge, one easily removes my face and eye makeup) you toss it in the little laundry bag it comes with, and when you’re ready to you can wash them. I had a similar system years ago for my bamboo nursing pads and loved it.

GARNIER SKINACTIVE MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER REVIEW

October 17, 2016 & Leave a Comment

Hi there! Happy Monday!

I hope that all of you had a wonderful weekend! We had a ton of fun at the pumpkin patch this weekend which you can see in our Daily Vlog. I have been having fun with darker eye looks now that the weather is changing, and I thought that since a lot of you probably are as well, it would be the perfect time to share one of my favorite ways to remove my makeup.

GARNIER SKINACTIVE MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER:

*Note: I have been using the one with the blue lid, which is meant for even waterproof eye makeup, but have heard rave reviews about the pink lid as well. If you would like me to compare the two, let me know in the comments and I would be happy to do so!

WHY I LOVE IT:

You can use this to remove face, lip, and eye makeup. It removes makeup without harsh rubbing. You do not have to rinse your face after using this, but I choose to remove my makeup and then continue with the rest of my nighttime skincare routine which includes cleansing.

HOW I USE IT:

I try to be sure to shake well before use. I saturate a cotton ball and then gently wipe off my face makeup. I put a small amount on a cotton ball if I need to remove lipstick. I saturate a cotton round and then hold it on my eye for a couple of seconds and *lightly* wipe without rubbing or tugging the delicate eye area.

COST:

This Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is such an affordable product at about $7.00, and it is a dupe for the more expensive Bioderma, which retails for about $17.00.

I hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful! If you’d like to know the other products I use to remove my makeup, be sure to let me know! Please don’t forget to subscribe if you haven’t already and have a wonderful day! xx

Get Unready With Me: My Night-Time Routine

June 16, 2014 & 3 Comments

Hi there! Happy Monday!

Today I am going to share my night-time beauty routine. I have created a Luvocracy page if you’d like more information on any of the products or would like to shop online : )

Step 1: Hair Goes Up

I put my hair up into a messy bun with a hair tie like this one from Lucky Girl Hair Ties on Etsy and use a towel headband to keep my hair out of my face.

Step 2: Remove Makeup

I usually use a Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipe and then another remover for my eye makeup. The Maybelline Clean Express Makeup Remover isn’t my favorite, but I am using it up currently.

Step 3: Cleanse Face

I wash my face with my all-time favorite facewash, Purity by Philosophy, and then dry  my face with Kleenex Hand Towels to make sure that I’m not putting a dirty towel onto my just cleaned face. I also use a wash cloth just for my face after showering that I change out every couple of days to keep it as clean as possible.

Step 4: Use Toner

I do this most days, but not all. My favorite toner is an oldie but a goodie, Sea Breeze, and I like the one for sensitive skin.

Step 5: Use Moisturizer

I like to use Esteé Lauder Day Wear, sometimes even at night.

Step 6: Use Eye Cream

I like to use an eye cream and my current favorite is Eye Hope by Philosophy.

Step 7: Use Moisturizer

I use a body lotion, and my current favorite is SachaJaun in Shiny Citrus.

Step 8: Hand Cream

I use a hand cream by Juice Beauty and a Cuticle Cream by Burt’s Bees. I don’t always do this, but I try to make the time to do it.

Step 9:

I take my hair down, spray it with a little Dry Shampoo like one from TRESemmé on nights when I’m planning to have second-day hair the next day, and comb it out with Wet Brush.

What is your night-time routine like? What products do you swear by? I would love to hear from you! You can comment to let me know : ) And please subscribe if you’ve liked my post! XO
