Wet n’ Wild Liquid Catsuit Lipstick Review | Drugstore Liquid Lipstick

November 26, 2018 & Leave a Comment

Hi there! Happy Monday!

I hope that you’re feeling refreshed after what was hopefully a long weekend! As I cuddled up on the couch looking at our Christmas trees all lit up, I literally started counting my blessings! Living with purposeful gratitude has been such an impactful thing for me, and I talk about my favorite way to do it in this post.

If you read this blog often, you know that I’m a liquid lipstick girl. I love liquid lipstick because they’re lower maintenance than a traditional lipstick, and it doesn’t kiss off on my husband, little loves, or my coffee mug. Currently, I’ve been all about my Dose Of Colors Matte Liquid Lipstick and Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick, but when I dear friend of mine gifted me with a gift basket for the holidays (how cute is that, by the way?!) that included two of the Wet n’ Wild Liquid Catsuit Liquid Lipstick I became obsessed and had to share with you!

About Wet n’ Wild Liquid Catsuit Lipstick

This lipstick claims to glide on like butter but then stay put. Wet n’ Wild Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick Made goes on glossy yet transforms into a high-pigmented matte finish with some serious staying power.

My Thoughts

I have tried two colors, which are both gorgeous and highly pigmented. Because these shades are both statement colors, I can’t speak to the lighter shades, but I love that I only need a thin layer applied. The color dried quickly and I have been amazed by the staying power! This would be perfect for a night out because it really does last a long time. I make my makeup work because I apply my makeup at 5 a.m and often don’t take it off until late evening, so touching this up once around lunch and then one more time if you needed to wear it in the evenings? That’s a win in my book! Matte liquid lipsticks are known for being drying, and I do find that these are drying but not more so than other liquid lipsticks. The Wet n’ Wild Liquid Catsuit Lipsticks are not uncomfortable to wear, and I just make sure to have my lips exfoliated before wearing these.

My Routine

When I start my makeup I always apply a thin layer of a lip balm (these are my favorite) as a way to prep my lips. I like to wear a lip liner with my liquid lipsticks. I wear NYX Retractable Lip Liner in Red with Missy and Fierce and Rimmel London Lip Liner in Cherry Kiss with Berry Recognize.  I then get my Wet n’ Wild Liquid Catsuit Lipstick and wipe any access off of the doe foot applicator before applying a thin layer to my lips. I keep my lips parted as best I can until the lipstick dries and then apply the tiniest bit more if needed to make the application even. I reapply again around lunch (especially if I ate salad with an oil-based dressing) and again as needed.
