I’ve always loved the look of sweater dresses but didn’t feel like I would get much wear out of them because I lived in a very cold and snowy climate, and while I didn’t move *that* far we have had an unseasonably warm fall this year all-over Michigan and I love the sweater dress I bought so much that I need to share it with you.

Long-Sleeve Mockneck Mini Sweater Dress

I love this sweater dress because it can easily be dressed up or dressed down. I wore it belted with knee-high heeled boots to see Swan Lake and dressed down with loafers for an everyday look. I am so glad that the warmer fall prompted me to order this because now I am sure I’ll figure out ways to continue wearing it with tights as the weather cools down.

I purchased this in a size small and it has a relaxed fit. I did purchase a small tall one because at 5’7 I am right on the cusp of needing a tall, and for mini dresses, I prefer the bit of extra length.

Vegan Leather Leggings | $15 Walmart Find

I found an incredible pair of vegan leather leggings from Walmart. These might be a Spanx Leather Leggings dupe and they come in both a brown leather legging and a black leather legging from the brand Time and Tru. Leather is very in for fall 2022. I’ve been a big fan of Time and Tru for years and can’t wait to share these with you today.

Time and Tru Women’s Faux Leather Leggings

I have never tried the Spanx Leather Leggings, and I am sure they don’t have the same compression but on looks alone, I think these are a great affordable dupe. These leggings are lined with a soft material so they don’t feel funny on the legs and they pull on easily, and I don’t think that they will make you sweat like some began leather options I have seen. I found these in store but they’re also available online. I am wearing my true size small.

I am not a huge legging girl. Don’t click out. I do love them, but I usually wear jeans or trousers, HOWEVER, this fall I snagged a couple of really precious legging-friendly pieces that look a bit more elevated and stylish than the typically zip-up with legging combo [though that is iconic, isn’t it?] I share my outfits every day on my Instagram.

Nike Air Force 1 07s – These are iconic, and classic, and go with so many things! I wear them with leggings, jeans, dresses, and trousers!

Asymmetrical Snap-Up Fleece – This is SO comfy and the vegan leather makes it seem much nicer than if it was just a plain fleece. Because of the vegan leather, I plan to baby this when I launder it and do so by hand and when possible just Fabreze it 😉 I try to do this with sweaters to extend the life of the garment (but don’t worry, not if I am sweating or stinky!) I SIZED UP one so that this was legging-friendly, if you’re shorter you may not need to size up but at 5’7 I needed the medium to get it to completely cover my bum.

Point Split Hem Flare Pant – Call them what you want, in my mind are super thick nice elevated flared leggings, or as we called them in college, yoga pants.

Winter Boots From Walmart?! | Time and Tru Winter Boots Review

You will not believe the Time and Tru winter boots I found at Walmart! Last year I finally purchased a nice pair of Sorel Explorer Carnival II Boots and I wore them every day from November until May (that’s Northern MI for ya). When we packed up our home and made a large move this summer, a lot of things ended up in our storage unit and it’s packed so tight that nothing is coming out until we buy a home because it’s a literal hazard to try to get it out. I knew I needed something for this winter, but didn’t feel comfortable spending a lot since I know that I have a beautiful pair in storage. THE *BEST* BODY SPRAY EVER? | ARIANA GRANDE CLOUD

I have heard that Cloud by Ariana Grande is a dupe for Baccarat Rouge 540, the iconic and incredibly expensive perfume that has skyrocketed in popularity in recent years. I do not own Baccarat Rouge 540 but knowing that Cloud by Ariana Grande was considered to be a dupe made me excited to try the Ariana Grande Cloud body spray.

I wanted a bodyspray because I enjoy having a body spray to spritz on myself when I want a very light fragrance or in the evenings (especially after sunless tanning) when I want to smell and feel nice but don’t want my everyday perfume fragrance. I will say this body spray does fade quickly, but for my needs, this still works. My husband LOVES this scent, and I think I’ll end up getting the perfume. The base notes are musky and woodsy and the softer notes are sweet and vanilla.

As a mom, you have to go from soccer camp to a meeting to (if you’re lucky) girls’ night and back home to make dinner and it can be hard to look pulled together since all of these things require a different wardrobe. Today I want to share my best tips for looking like I have it together as a mom, even when I don’t.

Create a Capsule Wardrobe

I started dressing in neutrals several years ago, and have been working overtime to be more conscious about what I’m buying. I began by grabbing things from Target and H&M, places I still love especially for basics, and now try to buy investment pieces as sustainably as possible. Having a capsule wardrobe means almost everything I have matches.

Plan Your Outfit the Night Before

I know, you’ve heard this before but it’s a GAMECHANGER! Each evening I think about what I’ll be doing the next day, what the weather is, and set out all of the clothes the night before. And I mean everything, including undergarments and socks. If I’m running I set out my running gear, and whatever outfit I’ll wear. If I need to change midday, I’ll grab those items too.

Add a “Third Piece”

A shirt and jeans are clothes, but toss on a hat or a great blazer and you’ve got an outfit.
