Baby Bum Product Review | Spread The Love

January 31, 2018 & Leave a Comment

Hi there! Happy Wednesday!

Thank you, as always, for being here and reading! I received a complementary set of the new Baby Bum line from Sun Bum from Influenster for review, and was very excited to try it out because I have loved Sun Bum products for years. As always, all opinions are my own and I will never accept money in exchange for a positive review. This post is not sponsored.

About Baby Bum

The Baby Bum line is plant based, hypoallergenic, pediatrician tested, and boasts being both dye free and paraben free. The Baby Bum line from Sun Bum is formulated for children and those with sensitive skin.

First Impressions

I absolutely love the packaging, it is similar to the Sun Bum line in it’s simplicity and I love the soft, neutral colors. I love the light coconut smell from the natural fragrance in the Shampoo & Wash and the Everyday Lotion.

My Thoughts

My middle child, Connor, has very sensitive skin and suffers with eczema that varies in intensity but it always present. I was excited to try Shampoo & Wash for him because he can only use very gentle shampoo and soap. I liked the foaming for cleansing his body, but found that I had to use more on the hair to get the lather I wanted. Connor had no reactions to the Shampoo & Wash, and I am also glad to have the Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Sunscreen sample on hand in my purse for his sensitive skin in the summer. My oldest, Hailey, enjoys the Everyday Lotion, and has proudly used it after her showers to “test it for mom”. Hailey reported that the lotion, “felt like lotion” but rubbed in well and quickly absorbed into the skin. My favorite product of the Baby Bum line is the Coconut Balm which is a coconut oil infused with Tiare flower petals to keep the skin moisturized. I have been using the coconut balm on the backs of my hands and focused on areas where I need a little moisture.

Worth It?

The price for most of these products in full size is about $10, and is comparable to other nicer baby and kid lines like Honest Company, Aveeno, and Burts Bees.

L’OREAL REVITALIFT CICACREAM | ANTI-AGING CREAM AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE

December 20, 2017 & Leave a Comment

Hi there! Happy Wednesday!

I hope that you are having a fabulous week! Over the past few years I have gotten more and more serious about my skincare routine, and I have been finding myself more willing to invest in quality skincare than a new eye shadow palette (what?! Is this 30?). However, I have found a gem that is super affordable which is fantastic because then it can be used regularly by nearly anyone who is interested in upping their skincare game. I am a member of Influenster and I recieved this L’Oreal Revitalift Cicacream complimentary for review purposes, but as always all opinions are my own.

What It Claims

L’Oreal Revitalift Cicacream helps repair the skin barrier which strengthens your skin and helps resist aging of the skin. This cream is fragrance freee, paraben free, colorant/dye free, allergy testing, and contains no alcohols that can strip the skin. Centella Asiatica is known as tiger grass, and is said to be something “new” to fight wrinkles. See visible results immediately as skin feels healthier, softer, smoother and more supple. Skin feels noticeably more hydrated.  In two weeks fine lines appear visibly reduced. Firmness and elasticity look noticeably improved. In four weeks wrinkles appear less visible. Clarity and tone improves, skin is more luminous.

My Thoughts

The tube packaging is very sanitary which I like, and the fine tip makes it easy to only use a little bit out so that you don’t waste the product. The cream is white and thick, which makes it seem like a luxurious cream which I really enjoy. The L’Oreal Revitalift Cicacream goes on smoothly and it absorbs into my skin quickly. It does have an almost primer like feel once it is applied, but I like that because I think it helps minimize my pores (*Note: I still use a separate makeup primer before applying my makeup). It also has amazing reviews on Amazon, so check those out to see what others have thought as well!

Why I Love It

I noticed an immediate difference with my under eye area and that blew me away! My fine lines and crepe like skin looked so much smoother, and I think it helped my under eye concealer to not settled into those areas. This doesn’t irritate my skin, and while my skin isn’t particularly sensitive my normal/oily combo skin that fights both blemishes and wrinkles can be hard pressed to find a product that works without irritating something. I LOVE that this is a price point that I know I can afford to purchase and keep purchasing so that I can continue to treat my skin with care and help combat the signs of aging.

My Routine

I apply this in the evenings after cleansing my skin. I am still using my Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil so I like to alternate between that and my L’Oreal Revitalift Cicacream which I am enjoying because it helps stretch my more expensive skincare longer. I use this occasionally in the mornings, focusing on my under eye and forehead.

Bumble and Bumble Pret-a-Powder Tres Invisible Dry Shampoo Review

September 4, 2017 & Leave a Comment

Hi there! Happy Monday! And Happy Labor Day!

I am such a huge fan of dry shampoo that I am constantly on the hunt for my *perfect* dry shampoo. I recently did a post on the L’Oreal Extraordinary Clay Dry Shampoo and also my Are You Using Dry Shampoo the Wrong Way? post.

I recently joined Influenster and was sent a complimentary VoxBox with the new Bumble and Bumble Prêt-a-Powder Trés Invisible Dry Shampoo for review purposes.

What It Claims

This dry shampoo is UV protective, 2-in-1 style extender that says it will cleanse and volumize the hair from root to ends for normal to oily hair.

My Thoughts

I am noticing a “clay” trend with dry shampoos, anyone else? But, so far I have loved both that I have tried! I LOVE that this is UV protective because I try to be very careful in the sun, especially with my blonde color treated hair because I don’t want to dry it out. I love that I can spray this (and some days I spray quite a lot…) without having any white cast. When I spray this it initially looks a bit wet if I spray a lot in one spot, but quickly drys and absorbs the oil leaving no trace of wetness or residue. This doesn’t make my scalp feel itchy or like I have product in it, which I really love. This has a great slightly floral scent that is a little strong when first sprayed, but not so much that I find it bothersome.

My Routine

I use my dry shampoo routine that I posted about here.
