The BEST acrylic nails at home | KISS Salon Acrylic Nails

July 4, 2022 & Leave a Comment

Hi there! Happy Monday! And in America, Happy 4th!

We need to talk about the KISS Salon Acrylic nails. I spoke recently about how I had gotten my nails done twice recently, after several years of never getting them done. I LOVE having them done. I talk with my hands, I’m on video for work, and I feel much more put-together when my nails are done. That said, I didn’t like spending the money or taking the time to go to the salon.

THE BEST ACRYLIC NAILS AT HOME | KISS SALON ACRYLIC NAILS

One of my best friends told me about the KISS Salon Acrylic nails and I was apprehensive because I typically ignore the hype about at-home fake nails since in the past I’ve found they don’t fit my nails well or look as good as the salon. These nails not only work but took me about 5 minutes to apply and they look incredible. I met up with a friend who always has her nails professionally done, and she complimented me on my nails and thought I’d gone to the salon.

*DO NOT* just grab these nails. It would behoove you to take the time to do it the way my friend suggested. The secret? Buy a better nail glue. My friend who turned me onto the KISS Nails let me in on this, and it makes sense to me because when I would wear falsies I also used a different glue than the standard one that comes with the lashes.

Want to try it for yourself? I’m linking the glue and my favorite nails below. I’ll be off somewhere doing my nails, don’t text ; )

THE PERFECT TAUPE/GRAY NAIL POLISH

February 6, 2017 & Leave a Comment

Hi there! Happy Monday!

I hope that you had a great weekend and that you had a fun Super Bowl Sunday if you’re in the United States! Today I want to share the nail polish that I’ve worn several times in a row because with the nail polish collection that I boast, that is pretty rare.

Essie “Miss Fancy Pants”

Why I Love It

Neutral nails are very popular right now, but finding the perfect color for your skin tone can be quite the challenge. I have tried so many neutral shades, and I’ve finally landed on one that seems to compliment my skin, and it’s a beautiful taupe-y gray that I think would compliment a lot of other skin tones as well.

My Routine

I apply a coat of Revlon Quick Dry Base Coat then apply two coats of the Essie “Miss Fancy Pants” polish and then my Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. I find that this nail polish lasts well without chipping on me for several days, but I can’t seem to make it last a week! I will say that I am pretty tough on nails (read: I wash a lot of dishes!) and that this does seem to last better on me than some of my other Essie polishes. I am a huge fan of Essie’s color selection, but the staying power is hit or miss for me, but this one I’ve been pleased with.

What is your favorite nail polish brand? I absolutely love nail polish but haven’t bought anything new in awhile..enable me ; )

Thank you, as always, for reading! xo

SALON QUALITY NAIL TREATMENT AT HOME | ncLA So RIch Vitamin-E Enriched Cuticle Oil

January 23, 2017 & 1 Comment

Hi there! Happy Monday!

In my pre-children life I got my nails done on a semi regular basis (never have been a once/week girl, but wouldn’t that be the dream?!) but now I can count the number of times since becoming a mother that I’ve gotten to the nail salon on one hand…sad, I know. I do love doing my nails, and since I’ve been doing them at home for years now I’ve found a few tricks that really give me salon fresh nails without the salon. Today I want to share one of my favorite items with you.

ncLA So Rich Vitamin-E Enriched Cuticle Oil

Why I Love It

The combination of the beautiful glass bottle with dropper, the beautiful fruity smell, and the fresh from the salon look that this gives my nails is luxurious. I love that using this feels like something special, but it isn’t a hassle because it absorbs quickly into the skin. A little bit goes a long way, so just a drop on each nail is plenty. Vitamin E is fantastic for your nails, cuticles, and nail beds and this helps keep the skin around my nails looking and feeling wonderful.

My Routine

I like to use this in the evenings once or twice a week after I’ve done my nighttime skincare routine. I usually will put on my hand cream and then apply this to my nail beds. I do find this to absorb very quickly, but I try to give myself several minutes where I don’t have to touch anything so that I’m allowing ample time for in to sink in.
