April 1, 2015 & 2 Comments

Hi there! Happy Wednesday!

Thank you so much for reading my blog! And if you haven’t yet, be sure to check out my *NEW* YouTube channel! I have been uploading two videos a week and would love it if you would each check it out. Subscribing can be done with the click of a button, and if you have a Gmail account you have a Youtube account because YouTube is owned by google. If you are signed into your email, you can like, subscribe, and comment on any video!

Today I have a few drugstore makeup goodies to share with you, including a $3 contour kit! Whaaaat?! I’ll stop rambling on and let’s get into it : )

Drugstore Makeup Haul:

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in 006 Really Red:

My sweet hubs got me 3 drugstore lipsticks as part of my birthday gift because he researched M.A.C lipstick dupes for me because he thought it would be a good blog post!! <–Yes, seriously! I had no idea. How cuuuute is he?!I love this classic red lipstick! This one is supposed to be a dupe for Russian Red. It is matte, so it seems a tad drying, but not anymore so than any matte lipstick. I usually gravitate to blue toned reds, so I am excited to add a true red to my makeup collection. Also, I love the Revlon Super Lustrous lipsticks in general! Sleek, classic packaging, and a huuuuuge color range.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in 013 Smoked Peach:

This is a dupe for Ravishing by M.A.C and I am really glad Stephan got me this because I would have NEVER chosen this color on my own for me. I am pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the salmon-y peach color on me! I thought it would be too orange for my light skin, but with a bare face it worked almost like one of my favorite nudes but a bit fresher…perfect for spring! This is a matte, so again it is going to be a bit drying, but I found this to be less drying than the Really Red mentioned above.

Wet n’ Wild Lipstick in Pinkerbelle:

This is supposed to be a dupe for Viva Glam Nicki. This is a SUPER bright in-yo-face pink and I think it will be so fun for a statement lip in the summer. It does seem a bit drying, but I think with a little balm it will be great for occasional use.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser in Brightener:

maybelllineagerewinddarkcirclecorrectorbrightener-leahtackles.jpeg

I love this salmon-y brightening under eye concealer! I repurchase this over and over again! When I want to really cover my bad dark circles I use this first and then a skin toned concealer over this.

Maybelline Dream Wonder Powder in 10 Porcelain Ivory:

I love this powder! It is soft and has a buildable coverage, but I like to just use a little bit of it to finish my foundation. Be careful, it can be cakey if you reapply too much/too often. I buy this again and again!

Covergirl Ink It! Eye Liner in 250 Charcoal Ink:

covergirlinkiteyeliner-leahtackles.jpeg

I have a hard time getting eyeliner to stay on the waterline, and I was hoping that this would stay for me but it doesn’t : ( Wah waaaah. I do think that this glides onto my lid smoothly, and would be nice for a smokey eye, but that isn’t a look I do often. Still, a nice pencil eyeliner with a precise tip. I do like that this doesn’t need to be sharpened.

Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette:

maybellineblushednudesswatches-leahtackles.jpeg

maybelline-blushednudes-leahtackles.jpeg

I love this!! I am a huuuge fan of the Urban Decay Naked 3 and this does have some comparable shades. A few of the lighter shades are a bit powdery and sheer when swatched, but I find good pigmentation with more colors than not. I love the way this is set up, just the The Nudes palette from Maybelline, in quads, trios, and duos which they show on the back of the package! It is very user friendly and if you don’t have the Naked 3 and you’re on a budget or a beginner, I definitely suggest this. I found this at my local Walart for $9 and I know it’s been sold out almost everywhere, including my store, but I just happened to be there right when it was stocked. If you’re interested in a comparison post or more information, please let me know in the comments!

eos Visibly Soft Lip Balm in Coconut Milk and Vanilla Mint:

I love eos lip balms and I was excited to try these new visibly soft ones. I can’t really tell THAT much difference from the original eos balms, but the packaging is adorable and I still use them every day before applying lip color. I prefer the Coconut Milk and would repurchase that over the Vanilla Mint.

Wet n’ Wild Coloricon Contouring Palette in 750A Caramel Toffee:

wetnwildcontouringpalette-leahtackles.jpeg

wetnwild-contouringpalette-leahtackles.jpeg

I am sooo excited for this one! I love love love the hidden gems that Wet n’ Wild offers (hello amazing cheap eye shadow!) and am so happy they’ve decided to offer a contouring product. I think it’s genius that it only has two colors because there is no picking which contour or highlight shade to use, you just have one option for each. My Walmart only had one shade, but I have seen online that there are in fact two avaliable. I love that these are matte and I love how much product you get. I will say that it was a *tiny* bit powdery, and not crazy pigmented, but I think you can definitely build it up as needed. I think this is something that would be perfect for contouring beginners, and a great option for anyone who loves to contour and wants to try something new. You really can’t lose when it costs about $3!

What items have you been loving from the drugstore lately? Please let me know in the comments! Commenting is SUPER easy, just click the link by the title of this post! Don’t forget to subscribe (pretty please!) and check out my LeahTackles YouTube channel!! I appreciate each and every single one of you!! XOXOXO

Milk of Magnesia Primer? Yes? No? My Thoughts!

March 30, 2015 & 1 Comment

Hi there! Happy Monday!

Thank you for stopping by! I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend : ) Mine was jam-packed as always, and lots of fun! But yesterday, it SNOWED! I mean, come on spring! Does anyone else still have snow?

Today I want to talk about using Milk of Magnesia as a primer for oil control because the information out there for this beauty hack is so conflicting. I am keeping it SUPER basic and explaining to the best of my knowledge. So, let’s get into it!

milkofmagnesiaprimer-leahtackles.jpeg

What IS Milk of Magnesia:

Milk of Magnesia can be used as a laxative and an antacid. It its liquid form, it is a white suspension of hydrated magnesium carbonate in water.

Why It Works For Oil Control:

Magnesium carbonate effectively breaks down wax esters (if you took chemistry, you may remember esters which are a chemical compound that break down acids and if you haven’t taken it yet here is a fun preview–haha). So, Milk of Magnesia works as a de-greaser when applied to your skin.

Why You May Not Want To Use It Daily:

To put it simply, it is alkaline. Alkaline means that something has a pH greater than 7. Remember how I said it can be used as an anacid? Well it does the same thing when applied on your face, so it breaks down your skins natural acid which you need to fight off bacteria.

How I Use It As a Primer:

After I put on my moisturizer but before my foundation I apply a tiiiiiny bit on any areas that are oil-prone. Only use a tiny bit, because it is white and will leave a white film. I rub it in really well, and really quickly, and then apply my makeup as usual.

Do I Use It?:

Yes, I use Milk of Magneisa on my face, ON SPECIAL OCCASIONS ONLY! If you have an event, such as a July wedding, to attend and you need your makeup to stay on all day long, I *personally* say go for it! It truly works, and coming from a girl who gets an oily nose or t-zone by noon, when I use this I don’t have to use pressed power at all! I have used this trick probably 5 times in the course of several years. I would LOVE to find a makeup primer that would do this for me everyday, however I am not about to mess with my skins pH levels in that way. I definitely discourage the use of this regularly because it can mess with the chem class going on on yo face, and make you breakout <–nobody wants that!

*Note: I am *NOT* a dermotologist, I am just a girl who heard a tip a few years ago and has used it on a few occasions.

I hope that this was helpful and that you enjoyed it! I have a few more beauty tricks that I use on occasion up my sleeve, so stay tuned for that! We can turn this into a little series : ) Who doesn’t want to get those awful sunless tanner faux pas hands clean?

Tell me your favorite beauty tips in the comments below! And if you get oily, especially in the upcoming (I hope they’re coming..!) summer months, what is your favorite way to fight it? I would, as always, LOVE to hear from you!!

Be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already, every single subscriber means so much to me! Thanks loves!

Fun Target Haul! Shoes and Bag!! Splurge vs. Steal Comparisons!

March 25, 2015 & 1 Comment

Hi there! Happy Wednesday!

Thank you SO much for the support I recieved for my YouTube launch Monday! If you missed it, check out my first YouTube Video, the Mr. and Mrs. Challenge, with my hilarious and supportive hubs : )

Target has some AMAZING things right now!! And two things that I was swooning over from Chanel and Rebecca Minkoff? Well I found two affordable, designer inspired options at Target (Tar-jaaay!).

TARGET HAUL:

targetshoeshaul-spraing2015-leahtackles.jpeg

Dianne Cap Toe Espadrille Flat in Brown/Black:

targetespadrilles-spring2015-leahtackles.jpeg

chanelespadrilleslookalike-leahtackles.jpeg

Okay, first of all, how much do these look like the much coveted Chanel espadrilles?! AMAZING! Second, I reeeeally wanted cream, but they weren’t in stock when I purchased these, but as long as these seem comfortable I want to grab the cream and maaybe blacks too. I love espadrille flats in the spring and summer!! And these are the most gorgeous ones I’ve found at an affordable price. Now, they clearly aren’t Chanel quality, but they seem comfortable so far. I did order my normal size, and they fit, but if I get more I will go half a size up (I should have read the reviews! whoopsies!).

Tameka Elastic Quarter Strap Sandals in White:

targetsandals-spring2015-leahtackles.jpeg

At first I wasn’t sure if the elastic strap was going to be way too old (err okay I’ll just say it: grandma-ish) for my taste, but it’s actually such a cute sandal on! I love how it nods to the Birkenstock which made a huuuge comeback in 2014, but has a new twist. This shoe is seems very very comfortable, but I have only worn it around the house because we STILL have snow here. That’s another story! I can’t wait to wear these!

Lakitia Embellished Sandal in Glitter:

targetshoehaul-spring2015-leahtackles.jpeg

I wanted the version of these from last year but didn’t order in time so I ended up with a metalic gold strapped pair that I wore more than any other sandal last summer! So, if you like these I would get them fast! I was able to slide my food in and out of the pair from last year without buckling them (wooohoo! especially for other moms out there!) AND I wore these to the zoo, parades, and other all-day events without blisters! I hope this adorable pair performs as well as the version I got last year.

Backpack Handbag in Black:

targetbackpackpurse-leahtackles.jpeg

backpackpurse-splurgevssteal-leahtackles.jpeg

I promise, this link is not doing this bag justice! I saw this in-store, fell in love, but walked away…which I OF COURSE immediately regretted! I am talking was googling this baby minutes after leaving the store, but it wasn’t online yet. As I’ve noticed before with Target, items seem to hit stores first and then about a week or so after will be up online. I ordered it. How could I say no for $29 when the similar Rebecca Minkoff I was lusting over was $300?! Years ago I didn’t like carrying purses that were not designer, but I’ve changed my tune! The quality of bags from places like Target has gone up, and let’s be real I have a budget! This bag is going to get a lot of use! There is so much storage, and enough room for a few diapers, a bottle, a lovey…all the things I have to tote around : )

Thank you SO MUCH for reading! If you enjoy this post PLEASE share, subscribe if you haven’t already, and “pin”! I appreciate it very much! And don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel! Everytime I get a new sub it makes my day!! XO

DIY Mickey and Minnie Easter Baskets!!

March 18, 2015 & 2 Comments

Hi there! Happy Wednesday!

Thank you for reading : ) I hope that you had a great Saint Patrick’s Day! If you tried my East Saint Patrick’s Day Beer Bread Recipe, let me know how it turned out in the comments!

Now that Saint Patrick’s Day is over, it is time to really start thinking Easter if you haven’t already, because it is only a few weeks away! This year I decided to go with a Disney theme for our baskets because we will be going to Walt Disney World in late 2015. Hailey, who is almost 4, knows tons of characters and is sooo exicted for our trip! Connor, who just turned 2, is really getting into Mickey, and Logan is only 2 months so he doesn’t know any of them…yet ; ) I will be showing you what is in the baskets in another post, but today I want to show you how I made these DIY Mickey (X2 in my case!) and Minnie Easter baskets. I saw a fantastic post done by Inspired by Dis and this is my take on her baskets, switching up a few things and using some of her ideas as well.

DIY MICKEY AND MINNIE EASTER BASKETS:

DIYMinnieandMickeyEasterBasketDoItYourself-leahtackles.jpeg

What You’ll Need:

DIYMickeyandMinnieEasterBaksets-leahtackles.jpeg

 Wicker Basket(s)

(*Tip: I found baskets that were already red at my local Walmart store)

Yellow, White, and Black Acrylic Paint

Red Spray Paint if using a basket that isn’t already red

Black Foam Paper (I needed 2 sheets for 3 baskets)

Red Polka Dot Ribbon (if making a Minnie basket)

Paint Brush

Glue Gun (or any glue you prefer)

Piece of Paper

Optional:

Sponge Foam Stippler to make uniform circles

I paid $5 for each basket, $.50 for each jar of paint, $.23 for each sheet of foam paper and about $3 for my ribbon.

Step 1:

Spray paint your basket red in a well ventilated area! I was so happy to skip this step, but I definitely lucked out by finding red baskets!

Step 2:

After your basket is dry, paint the handle and top of the basket black.

 DIYDISNEYEASTERBASKET-LeahTackles.jpeg

DIYMickeyandMinnieEasterBaskets-DisneyEasterBasket-LeahTackles.jpeg

Step 3:

For the Minnie Basket:

Paint while polka dots  all around the basket making circles that are about 1 inch around. Or you can use a sponge stippling brush to make more perfect circles.

For the Mickey Basket:

Paint long yellow oval shapes about 1.5 inches apart on the front of your basket. I didn’t trace this at all, but it would be simple to cut out a little stencil beforehand if that makes your more comfortable.

Step 4:

*Note: This is the hardest step, and it is pretty simple, so if you can do this you’re golden ; )

Using a pencil draw on a plain piece of paper first and make almost a whole circle, then a 1 1/2 or 2 inch line and then make another circle on the other end and connect it back to the first circle. Confused yet? Basically you’re drawing a dog bone and you make the circles as big as you want your Mickey or Minnie ears to be : ) Once you’ve checked to see that your template works on your basket, use it to trace out your ears.

 IMG_4977

Step 5:

Put glue around the edge and in the middle of each ear (be sure to pick the “good side” and put the glue on the other side if you have any dents or marks on your foam) and quickly wrap it around the basket EXACTLY where you want it to be. Do this with the other ear. If you’re making a Mickey basket you’re done!

Step 6 for Minnie Basket Only:

Decide about how long you want your bow to be and then cut double that amout of ribbon. Use your glue gun and glue the ends togther so that you have a loop of ribbon. Cut about a 2-3 inch piece of ribbon for the center of your bow. I cut this piece and then cut it in half because the ribbon I used is quite wide. Hold the loop of ribbon up to the front of your basket and wrap the other piece over the front and around the handle of the basket so the bow is formed and attached to the basket, then glue in place. Be sure to hold it tight and glue it well so that when you get go your bowl doesn’t sag or move. This sounds a lot harder than it was, and if you mess up you should be able to cut it off and start over.

I hope that you’ve enjoyed this! If you have any questions, please reach out in the comments because I would love to help! What are your favorite Easter traditions? Do you make baskets, buy the pre-filled ones, or something else? And does the Easter bunny hide your baskets on Easter morning? : ) Let me know!

Easy Saint Patrick’s Day Beer Bread!

March 16, 2015 & 3 Comments

Hi there! Happy Monday!

Thank you for being here! I hope that you had a fantastic weekend! I had a great birthday weekend starting on my birthday when Hailey and my mom made me my favorite cake, Rainbow Chip, and my mother in-law helped Hailey pick out a balloon and flowers for me. Hailey’s sweet excitement made my birthday so much fun : ) Stephan made sure to have sweet little surprises up his sleeve, and we had our first date since having Logan!

I love St. Patrick’s Day and even though I don’t celebrate *quite* as enthusiastically as I did in college, I still like to do a little something to celebrate my Irish roots! I have made a couple different variations of this beer bread recipe, but this is my favorite simply because the ONLY ingredient I had to buy was the Guiness, everything else most people have on hand. You also need a bread pan, but can pick one up for a few dollars at Target or most grocery stores.

Irish Beer Bread:

Ingredients:

irishbeerbread-leahtackles.jpeg

3 cups of all-purpose flour

1 cup of sugar

1 tablespoon of baking powder

1 teaspoon of salt

1 teaspoon of baking soda

1 egg

11.5 oz of Guinness beer (one bottle or measure out if using a larger can like I did)

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl mix all of the dry ingredients with a wire whisk. Next, mix the egg and beer in using a large spoon. I mixed this by hand, it is a thick dough, so use your muscles ; ) Spray a 9×5 bread pan with cooking spray and pour in your dough. Bake your bread for 40-50 minutes until the top of your loaf is brown. Remember to keep in mind that you are using a dark beer, so the bread will be darker also. This bread is awesome and surprisingly a tad sweet.

I Did WHAT to My Hair?!

March 9, 2015 & 6 Comments

Hi there! Happy Monday!

Today I want to do something a little bit different and just talk to you and maybe have a conversation in the comments. I was going to reveal my new hair to all of you, but that’s NOT happening, unfortunately. For the first time ever I had to sit in a chair at a salon that I will not name for the big “reveal” after a cut, color, and highlight and fake a small smile while I panicked trying to find the right words to tell my stylist, who I will also not name, who I have known for several years, that I was unhappy. YIKES!

Okay, let’s stop here…who here has had what I mentioned above happen on some way or another at a salon? Let me know if you’ve ever been there! Hopefully you haven’t, because again, YIKES!

I was proud of myself for at least not gushing “I love it! It’s perfect” like would have been easy to do, and like she seemed to expect. And, to be fair, I have always said that and meant it in the past. Now, I ABSOLUTELY REALIZE that hair coloring isn’t always easy and that there are lots of things to consider that I don’t understand because I am not a hair stylist. I know that my stylist was trying to do a good job and give me beautiful color. I do think that it was a situation where she *probably* could tell that I didn’t like it, and of course was trying to talk it up as anyone would, but it’s just so far from what I wanted. And she said maybe it was the lighting, but oh no no it wasn’t the lighting.

What did you do if you saw that you didn’t like it?

I could only muster that I was a little shocked and that I thought I needed some time to get used to it. Fast forward to me in my car and I start crying! Big sobs! I texted my husband and then decided I had to tell my stylist.

If this has happened to you, what did you do? Nothing? Cry in the chair? Demand a refund? Call or text your stylist or salon?

I was in a slightly different situation than is probably typical in that I have known my stylist for years and had lunch with her socially, so I texted her. I considered calling her, but I thought that both of us would apprecaite being able to think for a second about what we wanted to say and I knew it was the only way I would be able to say how I really felt, nicely, without being *too* nice and pretending it was okay. It wasn’t okay. I was sobbing nasty mascara running sobs in my car.

So, I got brave and texted her a long rambling text (sort of like this post! hah!) saying that I had never felt this way after having her color it before and felt awful but I just wasn’t happy at all with my hair. My stylist was, as I expected, SUPER nice, told me not to apologize and that she would get me in this week to fix it.

So, I will definitely be doing a follow up post but today I just wanted to keep it real and talk about a moment that wasn’t Instagram picture perfect. Please tell me if you’ve ever had this happen OR what you would do if this happened to you.

I have some fun hauls coming up because my birthday is this week so stay tuned!!Thank you SO much for reading and give me the best birhday gift and LeahTackles.com anniversary gift by subscribing if you haven’t already. If you have already subscribed, thank you! I love you! And please share : )

My Birthday Wishlist

March 4, 2015 & 2 Comments

Hi there! Happy Wednesday!

Thank you for reading! I debated sharing this post because I absolutely realize that I’m not 7 and a wishlist may seem silly or selfish, but I promise I’m not sending it off to any grandparents or aunts ; ) I just want to share some items that I’ve been loving! Also, LeahTackles.com is almost 1!! On my birthday, March 12th, it will be 1 year since this little blog went live!! So, I do plan to share my goals for myself and for LeahTackles.com next week.

mybirthdaywishlist-leahtackles-beautyblog.jpeg

M.A.C Lipsticks:

I own a few things from M.A.C, but really only old standbys, and want to expand my lipstick collection! Tell me your favorite M.A.C lipsticks in the comments!!

Cover FX Contour Kit:

I love contouring and would love to try a cream contour kit! I’ve heard this one blends like a dream.

Rebecca Minkoff Julian Backpack:

I’ve touched on the fact that as a mom with young kids I don’t often carry a purse, and I miss handbag shopping! I haven’t seen the point in buying a purse lately, because with the exception of date nights I don’t get to carry them, but a backpack purse?! That I can do! I think this would be amazing for day-long outings with or without the kiddos. They also have a gorgeous version at Target  that I saw in-store that’s only $30!

Have a wonderful weekend!! I love you all!

Products I’ve Used Up?! February/March 2015 Empties!

March 2, 2015 & Leave a Comment

Hi there! Happy Monday!

I hope that you had a wonderful weekend! And as always, thank you so much for being here!

In mid February I shared an empties post with you, and that was only half of what I had been collecting in my closet for you all to see! Today I will share the rest : ) I love reading these posts because it’s a great way to get a quick idea about a persons thoughts on a product and if they would repurchase.

February/March Empties:

productsiveusedup-emptiespost-leahtackles.jpeg

Maybelline Age Rewind Dark Circles Eraser Concealer in Light:

I love these under eye concealers! I have had Light, Fair, and the Brightener shade is the one I now repurchase.

Maybelline Age Rewind Dark Circles Eraser Concealer in Brightener:

I love love love this! I have REALLY bad dark circles and this salmon-y pink really helps combat them! On days when I really want to hide them I use this first and then another under eye concealer on top of this. I put this under my eyes in a large triangle and then pat it in with my Sigma F-86.

Revlon Colorstay Foundation in 110 Ivory:

This is one of my favorites, if not my absolute favorite, drugstore foundations! This is a medium to full coverage foundation that doesn’t feel heavy on the skin but stays in place all day on my combo/oily skin! I need to repurchase this becaue I love it on days when I want a flawless look but don’t want to use my more expensive foundations.

Esteé Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation:

This is my favorite foundation of all time! This was repurcahsed before I ran out. THE BEST. And, there is a huge color range so there should be a color out there for everybody which is fantastic!

Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer:

This is just an itty bitty sample that came with my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder Palette but it lasted me quite a long time. I really enjoyed this and would definitely consider buying it in the future, but it is quite pricy. I love that it has SPF in it.

Benefit Cosmetics Pore Fessional Primer:

I love this primer! I already have another one.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Soft Brown:

This is my favorite brow product and I continue to repurchase!

Neutrogena Make-Up Remover Cleansing Towelettes:

This is just a mini travel sized one but I love these! I remove my eye make-up and then use these to remove my other make up before cleansing at night. I repurchase these all the time!

Skyn Iceland Glacial Cleansing Cloths:

I got these in my Ipsy Glam Bag and I did enjoy them. I like these because they were very wet and removed my make-up well, but will not go out of my way to get these again.

Pureology Serious Colour Care Pure Volume Shampoo:

I love Pureology shampoo and condioner! I have had this FOREVER and am sad to see it go! I would purchase Pureology shampoo in the future.

Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy Total Care Nourishing Shampoo:

I think the Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy Shampoo is such an amazing drugstore find! I love this stuff and will buy it again.

TRESemmé Volumizing Dry Shampoo:

This is my go-to drugstore dry shampoo! I buy this over and over.

Salon Grafix Invisible Dry Shampoo Spray:

This was just a small travel size that I used while at the hospital when Logan was born. I finished this up and it was nice but I wouldn’t go out of my way to repurchase this over my other dry shampoo favorites.

Redkin Wax Blast 10 Hairspray:

This was Stephan’s and he used this when his hair was a bit longer. He said he liked it and it smelled good and he would consider repurchasing it.

Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Volume Shine Hairspray:

I *love* this hairspray SOMUCH! This was a sample size from my Ipsy Glam Bag, but I will definitely be picking up a full size! I loved using this when I curled my hair especially!

Got2b Guardian Angel Gloss Finish Flat Iron Balm Heat Protectant:

I really like this and would repurchase it! This lasted me a long time because I don’t straighen my hair too often but it worked perfectly! And, such a great price point!

Yes to Tomatoes Clear Skin Daily Balancing Moisturizer:

I love this moisturizer! It is a gentle but really does keep my skin clear and calm. This costs about $13 and I have bought this several times.

ACT Total Care Mouthwash Sensitive Formula:

I love ACT Total Care mouthwash and always repurchase. I don’t always buy the sensitive formula, but did so while I was pregnant.

Plackers Micro Mint Dental Flossers:

I love these! I floss my teeth two, sometimes three times a day and these are my favorite floss picks. I have heard that this is less clean than using a string of floss because you are putting the same piece in and out of all of your teeth, but this is what works for me as far as flossing!

Orajel Training Toothpaste:

We use these for Connor, who just turned 2, but have moved Hailey to regular kids toothpaste with fluoride because she can now reliably spit it out.

Colgate 360 Toothbrush:

These are the only toothbrushes I buy! Stephan and I both love them, and until I find my perfect electric toothbrush (please leave suggestions in the comments if you have a favorite!) I will keep buying these.

What products have you been using lately? What things do you buy over and over? Have you had any major product flops lately? I would love to hear about them!
