Have you ever wondered how a clothing subscription box works? Nadine West offers an affordable-style subscription service.

I have shared my outfits from Nadine West for three years now on my blog (read the posts here). Nadine West sent me this box for my consideration for review but I was not paid to write this post and as always all opinions are my own.

What is Nadine West?

NadineWest.com is a company that sends you an outfit to try on and you keep only what you love. The outfit is a surprise, but you take a style quiz and the stylists get to know your style more each month. The outfits are affordable with pieces costing about $10-$30 each, which is very affordable compared to other similar services.

How Does Nadine West Work? 

On the Nadine West website, you take the style quiz so that the stylist can get to know what you are looking for in an outfit. You will receive a pink package in the mail with your personalized outfit. Try on the outfit and keep what you love and send back what you don’t.

My Thoughts On Nadine West 

The style quiz was super easy to do, which was great because I wanted something that didn’t take too much time but I was still able to make notes to make sure the stylist knew my preferences. I really loved the surprise aspect of this, and it was like opening up a girly gift from a really stylish friend. I cannot stand having to return things, it is such a bummer, but I LOVE the way this company does it because your outfit comes with return shipping.

I was worried that a lip mask would be messy, sticky, or uncomfortable for bed because my hair would get in it or it would get on my pillow. That has not been the case, and I use this mask several times a week, just a dab on my lips before bed, and my lips have been super soft. It is summer, so I’ll report back in the winter, but I love it.

Disco Candy Tan! b.tan darkest candy-scented 1-hour sunless tanner mousse review

I have been exclusively using b.tan products for sunless tanning for over a year now. I even blogged about my favorite b.tan products here. I found the Disco Candy Tan! a couple of weeks ago and was intrigued because candy-scented sounded a lot nicer than the classic sunless tanner smell.

I LOVE the foaming mousse formula, but when I’ve tried from other brands it doesn’t seem to last as long as cream or lotion formulas, but the b.tan mousse formula is legit! It takes me a few weeks to work through a bottle, and I use sunless tanner a couple of times each week. The candy scent is overpowering, but it’s a very sweet cotton candy scent while applying. I notice that the product works the same way as the other b.tan mousse formula products, and I will continue to use this product.

My Routine

I apply the b.tan sunless tanning mousse with a b.tan mitt (THE BEST I HAVE EVER USED! It washes up so nicely and lasts wayyy longer than any other mitts I’ve used). I do still use the sunless tanner color remover if I ever make an oops and have a weird sunless tanning mark (especially near my fit I notice it can happen).

Wet n’ Wild Incognito Mega Last Concealer | Review

These days I am all about makeup that works and I can count on. For the past few months I’ve been using Wet n’ Wild Incognito Concealer and I want to share it with you.

Wet n’ Wild Incognito Mega Last Concealer

I apply a primer and then use the shade fair under my eyes and light beige on my nose and a few dots where I have redness, zits, or uneven skin tone. I like to apply my under-eye concealer with this brush and I stipple on my face concealer with this brush. I then set it with a loose powder using this makeup sponge. This lasts ALL DAY on my combo/oily skin and doesn’t crease under my eyes.

TIGI BEAD HEAD Wave Artist | Easy Beachy Waves

Summer is in full swing and I’m all about beachy hair, thanks to my TIGI BEAD HEAD Wave Artist. I don’t get naturally gorgeous beach waves (I don’t have a saltwater situation…) and I don’t like the gamble of sleeping in braids…sometimes cute and other times…yikes. I usually use a curling wand and finger comb on days when I don’t wear my hair straight, but I’ve pulled out my waver again and I am so glad. This is NOT YOUR MOM’S OLD CRIMPER (sorry 80’s-early 90’s mom’s). I snagged mine on Amazon for $25 and it’s fantastic.

TIGI BEAD HEAD WAVE ARTIST

My routine is using my favorite heat protectant, and then going around my head waving on the top layer of my hair. I do like to curl the pieces closest to my face with a wand away from my face instead of waving, which sounds high maintenance but it only takes a second to do it and for me, the result is better. I then spray with my favorite hair spray, fluff it up a bit with my fingers if needed, and I’m out the door.

I like, but don’t love, these tops. I tend not to like tops that have a faux knot, I think they look cheap, but this one actually looks pretty legit. I may pass both of these on, though.

I RAN A MARATHON | ALL THE GEAR I USED

Hi there, Happy Monday!

I DID IT! I ran 26.2 miles and finished a marathon. I couldn’t have done it without the grace and support of my husband, first and foremost, who never complained when I would spend HOURS training. My kids, who are sweet and encouraging and always wrote me little “You can do it” notes. To my family and best friends who showed up for me and supported me and cheered for me virtually and in-person. It made a difference. My longest run in training was 19 miles, and I added 7.2 miles to that largely thanks to my crowd support. And the medal, let’s be real.

Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift Waterproof Mascara | Review

I have been rocking very little makeup, but something that I wear nearly 365 if mascara. I curl my lashes some days, but not always, and I like a mascara that is wet, waterproof (a pain to take off, yes, but I prefer that battle over worrying about smudges or the panic that otherwise ensues every time my eyes water).

Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift Waterproof Mascara

I purchased the Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift Waterproof Mascara recently and I’ve been a fan. I love that it’s a very mascara with the double curved brush makes applying mascara from root to tip a breeze. I am able to build up if I get a second coat on fairly quickly before the first one dries (I prefer to focus the second coat on the upper-middle and outer lash). This mascara does not flake or smudge on me. I get a ton of volume and a pretty fanned-out look (I can also wear just a tad of this on my most natural makeup days). The description does say that it is a fiber-infused formula, and sometimes I think fibers = spidery lashes, but I do not find that to be the case with this mascara. I use my favorite micellar water to remove this mascara.
