Have you ever wondered how a clothing subscription box works? Nadine West offers an affordable-style subscription service.

I have shared my outfits from Nadine West for three years now on my blog (read the posts here). Nadine West sent me this box for my consideration for review but I was not paid to write this post and as always all opinions are my own.

What is Nadine West?

NadineWest.com is a company that sends you an outfit to try on and you keep only what you love. The outfit is a surprise, but you take a style quiz and the stylists get to know your style more each month. The outfits are affordable with pieces costing about $10-$30 each, which is very affordable compared to other similar services.

How Does Nadine West Work? 

On the Nadine West website, you take the style quiz so that the stylist can get to know what you are looking for in an outfit. You will receive a pink package in the mail with your personalized outfit. Try on the outfit and keep what you love and send back what you don’t.

My Thoughts On Nadine West 

The style quiz was super easy to do, which was great because I wanted something that didn’t take too much time but I was still able to make notes to make sure the stylist knew my preferences. I really loved the surprise aspect of this, and it was like opening up a girly gift from a really stylish friend. I cannot stand having to return things, it is such a bummer, but I LOVE the way this company does it because your outfit comes with return shipping.

This wasn’t a great month for me. I do love the front of this tank, but I am not a fan of most lace like this. It feels cheap to me, and while it looks pretty I just can’t get past it. The necklace I am wearing is a beautiful Nadine West piece I wear often.

I am a runner. I am also a wife, mom, and full-time entrepreneur [ freelance social media marketing] so I have to run when I can. And a lot of times that means random runs when I still have a full day ahead of me or squeezed in runs after lunch when I have a call or a soccer game later, but no time to shower. I have a giant pack of Assurance Disposable Washcloths (typically used for elderly people, or folks with a medical need)at home which I like because they’re cheap and get the job done, but on the go, they aren’t practical.

When I ran my marathon I bought a ton of stuff to have in our car “just in case” and these wipes were one of those items. They are about $1 per wipe, so not super cheap, but if you sometimes don’t have time to shower after the gym on your lunch break or before a drink with the girls, these are well worth it. Have a few on hand in the car and in your bag.

My Thoughts

I have sensitive teeth, and whenever I use a whitening product I brush my teeth with this sensitive toothpaste. The first time I used the Whitestrips for 1 hour followed immediately by 5 minutes with the LED light my teeth hurt the following day. I waited two days before trying again and then continued to whiten with the Whitestrips for 1 hour followed by 5 minutes with the LED light with no issues and no more pain. My teeth were noticeably white after one use, and significantly whiter still after only 3 uses (one-week total time). I think this kit is pricy, but it works.

I am a neutrals person, but I LOVE the color green, especially emerald or forest (a.k.a Spartan…) green. I also got a really precious pair of heart stud earrings that are definitely my style and something I’ll likely share with Hailey, my daughter, also.

Disco Candy Tan! b.tan darkest candy-scented 1-hour sunless tanner mousse review

I have been exclusively using b.tan products for sunless tanning for over a year now. I even blogged about my favorite b.tan products here. I found the Disco Candy Tan! a couple of weeks ago and was intrigued because candy-scented sounded a lot nicer than the classic sunless tanner smell.

I LOVE the foaming mousse formula, but when I’ve tried from other brands it doesn’t seem to last as long as cream or lotion formulas, but the b.tan mousse formula is legit! It takes me a few weeks to work through a bottle, and I use sunless tanner a couple of times each week. The candy scent is overpowering, but it’s a very sweet cotton candy scent while applying. I notice that the product works the same way as the other b.tan mousse formula products, and I will continue to use this product.

My Routine

I apply the b.tan sunless tanning mousse with a b.tan mitt (THE BEST I HAVE EVER USED! It washes up so nicely and lasts wayyy longer than any other mitts I’ve used). I do still use the sunless tanner color remover if I ever make an oops and have a weird sunless tanning mark (especially near my fit I notice it can happen).

These days I am all about makeup that works and I can count on. For the past few months I’ve been using Wet n’ Wild Incognito Concealer and I want to share it with you.

I apply a primer and then use the shade fair under my eyes and light beige on my nose and a few dots where I have redness, zits, or uneven skin tone. I like to apply my under-eye concealer with this brush and I stipple on my face concealer with this brush. I then set it with a loose powder using this makeup sponge. This lasts ALL DAY on my combo/oily skin and doesn’t crease under my eyes.

TIGI BEAD HEAD Wave Artist | Easy Beachy Waves

Summer is in full swing and I’m all about beachy hair, thanks to my TIGI BEAD HEAD Wave Artist. I don’t get naturally gorgeous beach waves (I don’t have a saltwater situation…) and I don’t like the gamble of sleeping in braids…sometimes cute and other times…yikes. I usually use a curling wand and finger comb on days when I don’t wear my hair straight, but I’ve pulled out my waver again and I am so glad. This is NOT YOUR MOM’S OLD CRIMPER (sorry 80’s-early 90’s mom’s). I snagged mine on Amazon for $25 and it’s fantastic.

TIGI BEAD HEAD WAVE ARTIST

My routine is using my favorite heat protectant, and then going around my head waving on the top layer of my hair. I do like to curl the pieces closest to my face with a wand away from my face instead of waving, which sounds high maintenance but it only takes a second to do it and for me, the result is better. I then spray with my favorite hair spray, fluff it up a bit with my fingers if needed, and I’m out the door.

In the summer, especially after a day at the beach or in the sun, I love the feeling of removing my makeup and then using a facial scrub before cleansing. I’m keeping this short and sweet: just use a small amount of water (damp, not soaked) on your skin and a pea-to-dime-sized squirt of this, rub in circles for a minute, rinse and your skin will feel AMAZING.
