Denim On Denim 2023 | In Style 2023 Trend

Hi there! Happy Monday!

I am a big fan of denim on denim, and it wasn’t gone that long but now it’s back in a big way for 2023. I love any monochrome, tone-on-tone, dressing, and denim on denim is a fun look. Some people are worried that they’ll look like they’re rocking a “Canadian tuxedo” or be imitating Brit and Justin circa 2001 (IYKYK), but if you give it a chance it can be an easy, pulled-together look.

I styled my Abercrombie 80’s Mom Jeans with an old denim (chambray) shirt worn open (similar one linked here) and wore a green-gray neutral tank (similar).

My Thoughts

I use this after cleansing and toning my face and after I apply this I apply either my moisturizer or my vitamin C, depending on the day (I alternate certain skincare items). I love this product and my skin looks just as good as when I was using a more expensive version. I will continue to use this product.

Coolest Addidas Sneaker 2023 | Adidas Ozweego

In late 2022 I got a pair of green Adidas Track Pants and decided that I should have a pair of Adidas sneakers. I read a ton of reviews and decided that I wanted a pair of Adidas Ozweego sneakers. These are the coolest Adidas sneakers.

I ended up getting these in one of my favorite shades of green, a sage color that is totally neutral to me. And the sage Ozweego Sneakers are on major sale! I have worn these snappy casual with a blazer, and very casual with a T-shirt and jeans. These are a bit of a clunky and wide shoe, but not so much that they overtake the rest of your outfit. They’re incredibly comfortable! I did size down 1/2 a size because I have quite narrow feet and these are wide.

What are your favorite casual sneakers? I reach for my New Balance 574s, Nike Air Force Ones, and now my Adidas Ozweegos quite often, especially now that there is no snow but it isn’t always sandal weather.

Using Differin Gel For Anti-Aging | Over-The-Counter Retinoid

Today I want to talk to you about Differin Gel as an anti-aging product. I enjoy my mid-30s skincare routine and some of my favorite items that I don’t talk about often because they aren’t new but they are things I use daily. I have used Tretinoin in the past but if you need an over-the-counter, affordable retinoid, I want to encourage you to try Differin Gel.

Differin Adapalene Gel 0.1% Retinoid

Differin contains the ingredient adapalene which is a retinoid that fights fine lines, dark spots, and dull skin. Differin stimulates collagen production and helps with dark spots by exfoliating the skin. It also helps with clogged pores and acne, which is what I originally used it for in the early aughts when it was by prescription only. It also has anti-inflammatory properties. You do need to ease into it, and you only need a pea-sized amount. I use it every other night and tretinoin on the “off” night. I apply it after my toner and before my moisturizer. It is very important to use S.P.F. when using a retinoid (but really, all the time! 365!).

The Best Linen Pants | Abercrombie Linen Pants

I wore these Abercrombie linen pants so much last year. My favorite is white, but I also have them in a natural tan shade that is also so versatile.

Linen is a wonderful fabric for spring and summer, and I love having linen pants for days when I want more coverage, especially when I’m going into places with A/C but it’s hot or I’m at appointments and don’t want shorts on.

These pants are a linen blend, which helps because they do wrinkle some but not nearly as bad as many linen items I have. I steam them in a minute and they look great all day, even when I’ve sat or been in the car.

I have combo/oily skin, but I mentioned last week that I have been enjoying a *bit* of glow and a dewy look. I don’t want a “dewy finish” spray, because a big reason I use the spray is to avoid my makeup melting off, but I love the youthful glow I’ve recently been embracing.

Do I think this keeps my makeup perfect for 24 hours? No. Do I think that this adds moisture for 24 hours? Also, no. That said, I love how my makeup looks after I apply this. It is an almost halo, natural beauty, I woke up like this look when sprayed lightly over makeup.

I recently started using the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Instant Perfector 4-in-1 Glow Foundation Makeup and want to share my thoughts.

I have always had combo/oily skin, and for years I gravitated to matte makeup and matte skin only, but as I’ve gotten older my skin isn’t *quite* as oily (though my nose still is), and at the same time, over the last several years trends have changed and more glowy makeup has come into style, I’ve been enjoying a bit more glow. If you have oily skin, I hear you and I see you, but now I look less oily and more glowy, and I’m here for a little more of a dewy look.

The Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Instant Perfector 4-in-1 Glow Foundation Makeup is considered by many to be a dupe for Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter, which is a product I haven’t tried but the comparison piqued my interest. I’ve seen the TikTok videos showing the Maybelline Perfector 4-in-1 and was excited to try it. I purchased it in the lightest shade, and it’s quite sheer so the range that could work with is larger than concealer or foundation.

When I first received it I didn’t twist enough (even though I’ve used other similar twist sponge applicator products from Maybelline) and it was watery and it messed up my makeup. Once I twisted up enough product I realized that I LOVE it. Do I think it’s a foundation? No. Concealer? No. But I do think that under makeup in areas where you want a little glow or my favorite way to wear it: applying it onto my cheekbones and blending with a sponge, it is stunning. It’s just enough glow but it’s natural. It looks like it is your skin, that the glow comes from within, as opposed to adding a shimmery or powder highlight on top of your skin.

My mom bought me a few outfits for my birthday, including a gorgeous pink Scarlette Elliatt Dress from Revolve, and when I tried it on I loved it but the way it hit on my leg was really bothering me.

Why You Should Hire a Tailor

Have you ever had it when you try on something and decide to try again when you’re feeling better about the way you look? I tried that. I tried it with different shoes. It just wasn’t quite right. I tried to hold up the hem and see but it was hard to hold it and stand up to get a real idea of how it would look. Out of desperation, I ended up calling a tailor and she said she could get it done quickly, so I got in the car and was in her shop in 15 minutes. As soon as she held it up for me, I knew it would work. I picked the dress up a few hours later and my youngest and I snapped a picture when I tried it on and you can see in my face how EXCITED I am about the dress. A less than $20 tailor job and it’s now a dress I adore. So have some pants that need a tiiiny hem? Do you have a zipper that you’ve been putting off having fixed? Is there a dress that isn’t quite right? I suggest visiting your local tailor. I am so glad I did!
