Have you ever wondered how a clothing subscription box works? Nadine West offers an affordable style subscription service.

I have shared my outfits from Nadine West for two years now on my blog (read the posts here). Nadine West sent me this box for my consideration for review but I was not paid to write this post and as always all opinions are my own.

What is Nadine West?

NadineWest.com is a company that sends you an outfit to try on and you keep only what you love. The outfit is a surprise, but you take a style quiz and the stylists get to know your style more each month. The outfits are affordable with pieces costing about $10-$30 each, which is very affordable compared to other similar services.

How Does Nadine West Work?

On the Nadine West website, you take the style quiz so that the stylist can get to know what you are looking for in an outfit. You will receive a pink package in the mail with your personalized outfit. Try on the outfit and keep what you love and send back what you don’t.

My Thoughts On Nadine West

The style quiz was super easy to do, which was great because I wanted something that didn’t take too much time but I was still able to make notes to make sure the stylist knew my preferences. I really loved the surprise aspect of this, and it was like opening up a girly gift from a really stylish friend. I cannot stand having to return things, it is such a bummer, but I LOVE the way this company does it because your outfit comes with return shipping.

This wasn’t a super exciting month, HOWEVER, the items I got are items I will reach for often. The joggers are buttery soft and they have already been worn several times. I love that they can be dressed up a bit or dressed down. I will most likely wear these casually, and right now they’ll get a lot of wear as we are still quarantining here. I received a gray shirt that isn’t particularly exciting, but it fits well and can be knotted or tucked easily. My favorite item this month was the black blouse with the lace sleeve details and buttons. I also got a pair of star gold-toned stud earrings that are a pretty, delicate style.

Nadine West Final Thoughts

I love getting my Nadine West box each month! Most months I get a few things that I love, but I do wish that there was a simple form to update style preferences or check-in each month to see what I’d like to find in my box. I hope that I will continue to get neutral pieces that fit my style and delicate jewelry that works with my sense of style. I would love to see some simple, neutral-colored maxi dresses for spring, too. I would rather receive two or three nicer items than a lot of pieces that aren’t as nice of quality.

I discovered the line Time and Tru, a Walmart line, entirely by accident a couple of years ago when I found this cardigan with my mom. We were standing in the greeting card aisle and it was like the scene in Christmas Vacation where the tree has a beacon of light illuminates it…I looked up and saw a gorgeous cardigan that my then Walmart-clothing-judgemental-self-thought looked more J. Crew than Big Box. Now? I check the Time and Tru clothing at least once every couple of weeks. You can read my Time and Tru posts here. I also found THE BEST Tory Burch Miller sandals dupe thanks to Amanda John, my current favorite style YouTuber.

This is my favorite find! It is a baby doll style and I love twirling in it because I feel dainty and oh-so-sweet. It gives me Anthropologie vibes for 1/8 of the price. I am wearing a size small.

Time and Tru Women’s Tie Front Tank Top

I purchased stripe in-store and delicate ivory online, both in size small. I like buying tanks like this each summer that are lightweight but thick enough that I feel appropriately covered and comfortable. These will get a ton of use! You can wear them knotted or unknotted and tucked.

Time and Tru Women’s Trucker Jean Jacket

I am wearing the medium (I love the light but it was sold out in my size) wash in a size small. I think every woman should own at least one great jean jacket. And, honestly, I think it’s appropriate to own several! A jacket is a great “third piece” or final touch to an outfit. A shirt and pants are just clothes, but if you put on a great hat, a fantastic pair of shoes, or a jacket? Boom! You have an outfit. I have a jean jacket I’ve had for a decade that I’ve patched with all my Disney patches, I have another that is a light wash, and this one is an oversized fit and I plan to embellish it with rhinestone fringe once. I also am searching for a white denim jacket ; )

I love having black, nude, and white cami tank tops to layer under clothing. I prefer stretchy ones without the shelf bra. These are fantastic and the price is great, so I can replace them as soon as they get yellowed or dingy by the armpit.

As many of us have switched to remote work amidst the pandemic, and although I always work from home my kids aren’t always at home, so I’ve found myself clutching to my boundary setting more than ever. My favorite boundary is absolutely my morning routine, and today I’d like to share how it is changed my life, and is a way that I feel more beautiful (inside and out).

Why YOU Need a Morning Routine

A morning routine helps to set the tone (a.k.a your mood) for your entire day. A morning routine allows you to figure out how you’re feeling, before social media, the news, or a work email tell you how to feel. A morning routine helps you to prioritize your schedule, and ensure that you have some times for you, no matter how chaotic your schedule may be.

How a Morning Routine Makes You More Beautiful

By giving yourself 10-20 minutes every morning, you are also giving everyone you interact with a happier, more present, and kinder version of yourself. I also find that when I give myself time in the morning, and have prepped the evening before for a couple of minutes (as described in my mini-course) I choose outfits that make me feel more beautiful outwardly, and I have time to put on some makeup and style my hair.

Cosmic Deep Cleansing Jade Holographic Peel-Off Mask |Review

I have had more makeup-free days than normal during quarantine due to COVID-19, and that combined with regular masking has helped my skin to look very clear (woot woot!). My current favorite mask is the Jade Holographic Peel-Off Mask by Freeman Beauty.

I have been a fan of the holographic masks by Freeman Beauty for a while. I almost always notice a more even skin tone, and softer skin immediately following a mask, but because I like trying different masks in can be hard to tell if all of the claims are accurate. I do find that the Jade mask, which is recommended for normal or oily skin, helps my skin feel fresh and stay clear, and I love using it after a day in makeup or after a great workout.

Tucker Ashley Perfecting Moisturizer Review

Because we have been quarantined for a month now I have not been wearing SPF most days because unfortunately, the weather hasn’t been very good *yet* here in Michigan. I started using a Tucker Ashley Perfecting Moisturizer that I’ve had sitting in my basket of yet-to-be-used products.

My Thoughts

I have been LOVING this moisturizer! It doesn’t cause breakouts and wears well under my makeup on my combo/oily skin. My biggest gripe with this moisturizer is that it does not contain any SPF, so if I wanted to wear this while not in quarantine, I would need to use a separate product for a sunscreen.

Zo Skin Health Exfoliating Polish Review

During the quarantine, I have been enjoying my self-care routines, such as exfoliating my skin with my Zo Skin Exfoliating Polish, more than ever. Each week I shave my face, use my microdermabrasion tool PMD, and lately, I’ve added in this incredible polish by Zo Skin Health.

Why I love it

I have had these since the beginning of the year and I haven’t made a noticeable dent in it, even with weekly use. A little, tiny pea-sized amount, is all I use. I use circular motions, avoiding the eye area, on damp skin and rinse it off before continuing on to my cleanser.

Wet n’ Wild | Photo Focus Concealer

I have been really into wearing minimal makeup, and I’ve only been wearing concealer and powder most days and skipping foundation. I recently picked up the Wet n’ Wild Photo Focus Concealer and it is so good! Today I am going to share why I love it with you.

Wet n’ Wild Photo Focus Concealer

It comes in a tube and has a doe-foot applicator. It is less than $4 for .29 oz (compare to Tarte Shape Tape, for example, which is .33 oz and about $27). It is the absolute perfect in-between to me, it isn’t ultra matte but it isn’t so glowy that it scares my combo/oily skin self. It is much thinner than a heavy-duty concealer like the previously mentioned Tarte Shape Tape or Shape Tape dupe e.l.f Camo Concealer, but it still offers beautiful coverage. I am the shade Fair Beige or Light Neutral. I like using this with my It Cosmetics Airbrush Foundation Brush on my forehead, nose, and anywhere else I need a little coverage, and with my Sigma F86 Tapered Kabuki Brush (my all-time FAVORITE for undereye concealer! Amazon just told me I bought it SEVEN YEAR ago and it’s going strong! So, so good). I also like using the Wet n’ Wild Photo Focus Concealer with a beauty sponge (this is my favorite).

I was so happy to see all neutrals and no florals this month! I got a great pair of buttery soft black joggers that could easily be worn as dress pants or dressed wayy down paired with a sweatshirt. I received a pair of navy jegging style dress pants with pocket details that remind me of Tommy Hilfiger. I don’t think I will keep them, because they are legging tight, and that isn’t my preference for workwear. I got a slate short sleeve dressy blouse that I love, the color is unique but neutral, and it’ll look great with jeans or dress pants. I got a long-sleeve teeshirt dress, and if it were sleeveless I think I would like it, but I don’t like the very fitted sleeves contrasted with a very loose style dress. I also got a pair of gorgeous gold stud earrings with a rhinestone detail (*not pictured) that I will reach for often.
