The Norstrom Anniversary Sale 2022 is going on now (depending on your tier) and I’ve never shopped it before. The BEST acrylic nails at home | KISS Salon Acrylic Nails

We need to talk about the KISS Salon Acrylic nails. I spoke recently about how I had gotten my nails done twice recently, after several years of never getting them done. I LOVE having them done. I talk with my hands, I’m on video for work, and I feel much more put-together when my nails are done. That said, I didn’t like spending the money or taking the time to go to the salon.

One of my best friends told me about the KISS Salon Acrylic nails and I was apprehensive because I typically ignore the hype about at-home fake nails since in the past I’ve found they don’t fit my nails well or look as good as the salon. These nails not only work but took me about 5 minutes to apply and they look incredible. I met up with a friend who always has her nails professionally done, and she complimented me on my nails and thought I’d gone to the salon.

*DO NOT* just grab these nails. It would behoove you to take the time to do it the way my friend suggested. The secret? Buy a better nail glue. My friend who turned me onto the KISS Nails let me in on this, and it makes sense to me because when I would wear falsies I also used a different glue than the standard one that comes with the lashes.

Arched Mirror | Amazon Find

Hi there! Happy Monday!

I have an office. This is huge. And I have to decorate it. I started with an arched mirror. I LOVE the anthropology mirror [me and apparently, everyone else, maybe I’ll get over it before we buy our next home] but for my office at our Gumseat Productions shop, I knew it was time for a mirror. Let me explain.

I create social media content for a living, and I’m taking a larger role in our screen printing and embroidery business, so having a large mirror that I can use to film reels for social media tips, fashion styling, and business content. I didn’t want to spend a lot but wanted something that looked nice and would function well. I read alllllllll the reviews on affordable arched mirrors and I am so happy with what I ended up with.

I am currently in the chaos of our move and I wore a jumpsuit the other day because most things are in boxes scattered all over our new bedroom floor and it was easy to grab a one-piece and toss it on. I received multiple compliments on it, which was nice especially because I felt anything but put together.

We moved…saying goodbye to our house

Hi there! Happy Monday!

Yesterday we said goodbye to our first house. The house where we brought all of our kids home. The house where our kids grew up. The house where we grew up. We bought it straight out of college, and now 11 1/2 years later, we say goodbye. Our starter home, that we’ve finally outgrown. Home doesn’t stay with the house, it goes with the people in it. But goodness we’ll miss it.

The BEST No-Makeup-Makeup Foundation | L’Oréal Infallible Fresh Wear Foundation

For years I was a matte makeup gal, and then a few years ago I switched to using only concealer and very rarely wearing foundation. Last week I had a special event and wanted to wear a foundation, so I tried the L’Oréal Infallible Up to 24 Hour Fresh Wear Foundation after seeing it mentioned in a YouTube video, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

I have combo/oily skin, and I always stuck with matte products. Lately, I have been liking the on-trend look of a more fresh or dewy makeup but didn’t think that was an option since I have to blot my face a few times most days. This foundation is the first foundation I’ve ever worn that truly doesn’t feel like foundation. It lasted all day on me from 7a.m when applied until after midnight when I removed it. This foundation is my new favorite, no contest. I applied it with a beauty sponge and then achieved an airbrushed look by using this foundation brush before lightly setting it with a pink loose powder.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Crayon Review

I’m all about the no-makeup makeup, especially in the warmer months. I received a deluxe size sample of the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color Eye Crayon in Strapless as a birthday gift from Sephora and today I want to review it for you. It’s a cream shadow that dries to a powdery feel.

If you want a fast makeup routine for the summer, this is your answer for eye makeup. I love it because I can apply it without a brush to my lid and then I like to do a bit on my lower lash line and it’s firm enough that it isn’t messy but soft enough that it doesn’t tug the delicate skin around my eyes. I use this synthetic brush to lightly blend the edges so there aren’t any harsh lines. Some days I then take a shadow brush and put a bit of a shimmery eye shadow on top, focusing on the center of the lid, and some days I only wear the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick.

My Favorite Bodysuits + Why I Love Them

Have you tried a bodysuit yet? Are you wondering if you should? If you would like it? Or why you might want to try them? I still vividly remember in 2009 seeing one come through the stockroom at Hollister and being confused as to why a leotard was in the boxes, but jokes on me because I love them. I’ve been wearing bodysuits regularly for a few years now, and today I want to share my favorites with you.

Why I Love Bodysuits

Bodysuits are awesome because they don’t crease if you wear them under blazers or jackets as a tank or t-shirt would, and you don’t have to constantly tuck them in. Yes, it’s true that it does take a bit longer to use the bathroom but I find the tradeoff worth it. I prefer thong bodysuits, which all but one I have tried have been and I think is more common than a cheeky-cut.

My Favorite Bodysuits

I have several bodysuits from Abercrombie, one from Hollister, one from Express, and one from Target. My favorite brand for bodysuits that I have tried is hands-down Abercrombie.

The Best Abercrombie and Fitch Bodysuits

Seamless Rib Fabric Scoopneck Bodysuit in Orange

If you’re only going to get one bodysuit, this is my favorite. I love that it is ribbed because the seamless bodysuits (which I will talk about in a minute) are stunning but the rib is less likely to pill or snag. I got the orange color, which is a beautiful light and I am a neutral gal who thinks that this passes as a neutral.

Double-Layered Seamless Fabric Square Neck Bodysuit

The double-layered seamless bodysuits are incredible. They are so smooth, they hold you in, and I don’t need to wear a bra with them. I do wear nipple covers. I do wash these on delicate in a laundry bag and hang them to dry because I do find them more likely to pill.

One-Shoulder Essential Bodysuit in Brown

I am *here* for the one-shoulder making a comeback (Shoutout to my mom for letting me wear these at 14 which I absolutely rocked to school with a zip-up track jacket over it). This bodysuit is not double-lined, hence the lower price (compared to other Abercrombie bodysuits). I wear it with the best strapless bra ever by Soma.

Long-Sleeve Seamless Mockneck Bodysuit

This is on clearance and in limited sizes but there are other similar ones on their website. It is PERFECT under blazers, and cardigans.

The Best Basic Bodysuit from Express

Body Contour Scoop Neck Bodysuit

If you need one bodysuit that can be worn alone, as a layer, dressed up, and dressed down this is it. It’s beautiful, holds you in while still being comfortable, and comes in so many color ways.

The Best Affordable Bodysuit from Target

Double Scoop Bodysuit

If you’re on a budget but want to see if you like the look of a bodysuit, I suggest this one. It doesn’t suck you in as much as the pricier options, but it still offers other benefits of the bodysuit such as avoiding the need to tuck in or flatten out fabric wrinkles. This is a bikini cut bodysuit, and while I prefer a thong cut this isn’t uncomfortable to wear. I love the line A New Day from Target for basic tanks and this bodysuit is no exception.

I love this top so much that I’ve bought it 3 times. You can untie the knot and tuck it and the way the fabric is cut it tucks in so well the knot is also a cute look that isn’t quite cropped but looks nice with higher rise jeans.

This top is so cute. I love it with an oversized cardigan over it paired with jeans. 

One-Shoulder Essential Bodysuit

I am here for the comeback of the one-shoulder top! I remember these were so popular in the early aughts and I would wear zip-up track jackets over them to high school. This bodysuit is not as thick as the double-lined bodysuits by Abercrombie, so I do prefer to wear this one with a strapless bra and not braless or with nipple covers.
