You will not believe the Time and Tru winter boots I found at Walmart! Last year I finally purchased a nice pair of Sorel Explorer Carnival II Boots and I wore them every day from November until May (that’s Northern MI for ya). When we packed up our home and made a large move this summer, a lot of things ended up in our storage unit and it’s packed so tight that nothing is coming out until we buy a home because it’s a literal hazard to try to get it out. I knew I needed something for this winter, but didn’t feel comfortable spending a lot since I know that I have a beautiful pair in storage. How cute are these?! Less than $40 and they are so darn cute in person. I haven’t tested them in the cold temps yet, and while I don’t expect them to be as warm as my Sorel boots, the fact that they’re rated for -5° is promising and the memory foam is super comfortable.

Have you ever wondered how a clothing subscription box works? Nadine West offers an affordable-style subscription service.
I have shared my outfits from Nadine West for three years now on my blog (read the posts here). Nadine West sent me this box for my consideration for review but I was not paid to write this post and as always all opinions are my own. I have many favorites, including the best beach sunglasses I’ve ever owned, that I wear regularly.
NadineWest.com is a company that sends you an outfit to try on and you keep only what you love. The outfit is a surprise, but you take a style quiz and the stylists get to know your style more each month. The outfits are affordable with pieces costing about $10-$30 each, which is very affordable compared to other similar services.
On the Nadine West website, you take the style quiz so that the stylist can get to know what you are looking for in an outfit. You will receive a pink package in the mail with your personalized outfit. Try on the outfit and keep what you love and send back what you don’t.
The style quiz was super easy to do, which was great because I wanted something that didn’t take too much time but I was still able to make notes to make sure the stylist knew my preferences. I really loved the surprise aspect of this, and it was like opening up a girly gift from a really stylish friend. I cannot stand having to return things, it is such a bummer, but I LOVE the way this company does it because your outfit comes with return shipping.

I have heard that Cloud by Ariana Grande is a dupe for Baccarat Rouge 540, the iconic and incredibly expensive perfume that has skyrocketed in popularity in recent years. I do not own Baccarat Rouge 540 but knowing that Cloud by Ariana Grande was considered to be a dupe made me excited to try the Ariana Grande Cloud body spray.
I wanted a bodyspray because I enjoy having a body spray to spritz on myself when I want a very light fragrance or in the evenings (especially after sunless tanning) when I want to smell and feel nice but don’t want my everyday perfume fragrance. I will say this body spray does fade quickly, but for my needs, this still works. My husband LOVES this scent, and I think I’ll end up getting the perfume. The base notes are musky and woodsy and the softer notes are sweet and vanilla.

I bought myself a Sprints running hat recently to get myself excited about running again. I’ve kept my running up with our move, not the same mileage or endurance, but I’m still running 3-4 days each week, and I’m proud of that.
I went to Playmakers in Okemos (a can’t-miss store if you’re ever in the Lansing area) and picked out this Sprints hat because it’s my favorite color, Michigan State colors, AND I like that it’s turtles because I always say that I’m not fast but I keep going.
It’s comfortable. It’s lightweight. It drys so fast. It washes up beautifully ( I hang it to dry). I don’t like that the velcro adjustable isn’t looped through, because it’s harder to adjust if needed mid-run but I believe this is in effort to make it as light as possible. I like it so well that I bought another one, the Sprints Rabbit Running Hat. I love that I have a tortoises and hare, plus we have Sunny the Bunny, our beloved Holland Lop, so it works : )

I started using a niacinamide a couple of months ago as a step in my morning skincare routine to help with blackheads and breakouts. I have combo skin, and while my skin is *decently* clear, I always have had large pores and blackheads on my nose.
What I do is cleanse my skin and tone my skin and then apply niacinamide serum before using my moisturizing and SPF. I love this niacinamide because it is affordable and effective.

As a mom, you have to go from soccer camp to a meeting to (if you’re lucky) girls’ night and back home to make dinner and it can be hard to look pulled together since all of these things require a different wardrobe. Today I want to share my best tips for looking like I have it together as a mom, even when I don’t.
I started dressing in neutrals several years ago, and have been working overtime to be more conscious about what I’m buying. I began by grabbing things from Target and H&M, places I still love especially for basics, and now try to buy investment pieces as sustainably as possible. Having a capsule wardrobe means almost everything I have matches.
I know, you’ve heard this before but it’s a GAMECHANGER! Each evening I think about what I’ll be doing the next day, what the weather is, and set out all of the clothes the night before. And I mean everything, including undergarments and socks. If I’m running I set out my running gear, and whatever outfit I’ll wear. If I need to change midday, I’ll grab those items too.
A shirt and jeans are clothes, but toss on a hat or a great blazer and you’ve got an outfit.
